Deranged Pony

Went out this morning for chores and had a predator attack. A juvenile bald eagle. It was in the process of getting the distinctive white feathers which happen aroud years.

I have seen them from a distance and online but within 150 or so feet they are HUGE.

The local crows were not happy and eventually flew off, the whole top of the tree shook when it flew.

The entire dog Army got lectured about how this could happen on thier watch.

When it came back to finish, they were definitely not letting it land. I am going to say my "motivational lecture" and threat of kibble only util performance increases and DO THEIR JOB was the reson.

1st time in 10+ years had an eagle take anything. We have seen them here and there but not up by buildings.

While we needed to thin the drakes anyway. Not the way I wanted it. But...I think all the livestock have become lax with The Army and geesholes patrolling nobody looks up anymore and situational awareness is gone.

Frick around and venture too far from the protection of the dogs/barn/coop and gonna find out.

Bambalamb aka Hamburger and BB are looking for new pastures. Would like them to go Together but not required. Could possibly deliver for additional amount. They have never loaded and may take a bit.

Bambalamb is daughter of the infamous Black Betty. She is half Angus half Guernsey. She may be bred as well but not confirmed.

BB is 1/4 Angus and 3/4 Guernsey.

Bam will come for attention and pets. We didn't try milking her.

BB is curious but stays a good 6 feet away. If ya sneak up on her sometimes you can pet her.

$3500 for both.

We just have too many cows.

Well....she wasn't dead after all! At least 13 babies "appeared" when I came back from chores. She was cleaning up the "distraction grain" from the resident lawn mowers so I can get the rest of the livestock fed and not get trampled.
