Honza Farm is a small family farm & cottage bakery in Greenville, TX.

We raise heritage chicken breeds for eggs and meat, Sebastapool Geese, grow homegrown produce, and make scratch made baked goods.

🥚 AND THATS A WRAP!

🐣 Just set our last hatch of the season the in the incubator yesterday — a gorgeous set of Ermine Ameraucanas from White House Black Egg Market.

🧁 We did a two part trade of a home baked Apple Pie and a German Chocolate birthday cake for a dozen Ermine Ameraucana hatching eggs and she even threw in a few gorgeous Olive Eggers AND one of her sought after Bloomstone Reserves.

🐣 We are so looking forward to hatching these babies in a few weeks!

Officially open for business 🤭

I’ve been mulling it over for a while and I miss baking and decorating cakes for other people, so we’ve decided to open a little cottage bakery!

I’ll be focusing on pies (of all kinds), and custom cakes!

🥚Black/Blue Silver Marans from The Copper Hill Farms with the most gorgeous speckles I’ve even seen 😍

Dinner tonight on the farm:

Pasture raised chicken roasted with home grown garlic, salt pepper and olive oil.

Roasted potatoes that we just harvested earlier in the week, salt, pepper, and olive oil.

That’s all, just keeping it really simple tonight so we can appreciate the flavor of the things we worked hard to grow.

The first sunflower of the season has bloomed, and everything else in the garden is soaking up the sun!

Blackberries, beans, peppers, and tomatoes galore; I am so looking forward to our first big harvest of the season. We have been able to pick a few Sungolds here and there but nothing larger than a snack.

Just traded 5 of our Swedish Flower Hen grow outs and our ready to lay BCM Pullet for this gorgeous Splash Silveruuds Blue laying hen and some Ermine Amaraucana + Olive Egger hatching eggs from Frolics & Feathers
