Put rabbits in the instant pot and 30 chickens in the freezer today. 4 pigs going to the butcher asap and more bunnies growing out!

This weather and RAIN is making me angry and cranky but the show must go on.

Some times we do hard things even when we don’t want to and it’s muddy. 😂

Good night darlings…
I did a little garden walk. I love that pruning flowers means bouquets in the kitchen. Pruning tomatoes and other veggies can be a lot more painful and the wait for new growth feels longer but both are worth it.

Our family is working on forming new habits and currently it feels little like a mix of the two kinds of pruning.

In garden news my hibiscus are just about to start flowering 🎉 tomatoes are taking shape slowly, and elderberries are dropping flowers! That means fruiting is next!! I am so excited!

Just a little peek on my walk this morning. Listened to my Bible plan, worship music, and pet some puppies that live at my neighbors.

Get up and move. Listen to the birds and enjoy creation!

Our sweet girls got moved to a new large pasture! They are loving the grass! Pigs love being pasture raised! Grazing clover and moving their chubby bodies!

POV: your dog is adored.

I was so mad when Monster had a litter of puppies after trying to be so careful. I often wonder where the other puppies are today. I try not to overthink it when I see posts of two year old Great Pyrenees that look like Yeti in shelters and such.

But I do hope they are having the best life. Yeti took work I won’t deny that but he is amazing. He guards us and our property with great seriousness. He is currently sprawled out on the back porch watching the meat chickens.

But by night time he comes in and gets cozy next to my bed to keep watch over us (always listening to alert us if Monster needs backup). Always there if someone has a bad dream and needs a hug. One night a few months ago I had a nightmare and woke up crying. He was looking right at me on full alert as soon as I opened my eyes - he knew 🥰

We love you puppers!
