It is time to celebrate one of the supporting players at our farm by the name of Mortimer. He was born April 11th, 2015. Morty has been friend to so many - baby goats, growing goats, lonely bucks, disabled goats that needed someone kind to keep them warm at night, and even human kids like Taylin who you will see in one of these pics. She grew up loving Morty. We came home from our show to find Morty down, unable to get up. His life has come to an end. He was the Best Good Boy Ever. If you want to see what a wether can do for your farm, take a trip through our pics of Morty going back to his youth. He has been amazing. God Speed, Morty. And give Old Man Jack a hug for us. I cannot imagine another soul who deserves a better rest than you. 💜💜💜💜

This is Kickadee Hill BG Lucky Loralee who we took to her first show ever at Carrollton, GA. She was Grand Champion in both rings and was also Best of Breed and Best Doe in Show in the second ring. The last time we went to a show was the spring of 2021. It was gratifying to see that we still breed champions even though we took a hiatus from showing. 😊

We attended a 2-ring show in Carrollton, GA. This is CH Kickadee Hill UA Millicent. We sold her at a couple weeks old to Jason Porter in Mississippi. He raised her and showed her to earn her Permanent Championship. Jason offered her back to us last winter and of course we jumped at the chance. We took her out for the Champion Challenge class where she won Best of Breed and she went on to earn Best in Show. A huge Thank you! To Jason for offering us first chance to have her back. And another huge Thank You! To Amy Keach for driving down to Georgia to show her for me!

Meet our newest addition CH Kickadee Hill Ask For Manfredo. This guy is one of the biggest Saanen bucks we’ve ever owned. My friend Amy Keach had him for a few months. She took him out to a 3-ring show and finished him for me! He also earned Best Buck in Show. Not many people would do that for you. Thank you Amy! You are the best. 💜💜💜

I love my wethers - Mortimer (11 yrs old) in front and Max (6 yrs old) in the back. My excuse is that I want my own blood donors who I know are disease free. And I did need that when we first moved to the south and had a steep learning curve on parasites. But the truth is that they are sweet and I just love them. 💜💜 They are such good boys.
