Ruth is officially feeling like herself again.

She's back to "helping" with chores, supervising cleaning projects, and doing her best to convince everyone she's ready to be part of the milking herd.

Whether anyone actually asked for her assistance is another matter entirely.

We're just happy to see her back to her energetic, mischievous self.

It's hard to believe these girls are already two months old. It feels like just yesterday we were welcoming them onto our farm, and now they're growing more independent, confident, and mischievous every day.

The first purpose of our garden is feeding our family. We believe there's something special about putting homegrown food on our table and in our pantry.
But our garden often produces more than we can use, and that's where our farmstand comes in.
Being able to share our extra harvest with our community helps reduce waste, supports local food production, and allows others to enjoy truly fresh, homegrown produce.
We grow for our family first—but we're grateful when there's enough abundance to share.

One thing many people don't realize is that during harvest season, we don't just pick when we need something. Every day we're out gathering ripe produce and berries to keep everything fresh for our farmstand.
Today's harvest includes beautiful green beans and fresh berries, picked at peak ripeness and ready to enjoy.
When you shop local, you're often getting produce that was growing on the plant just hours before.

One of the biggest advantages of having goats on the homestead? An endless supply of one of the best garden amendments around!
Our goats provide us with plenty of manure that gets composted and returned to the garden, helping build healthy soil, improve water retention, and feed the plants naturally. From tomatoes and peppers to flowers and herbs, our garden benefits from nutrients that would otherwise go to waste.
We're thankful for our little fertilizer factory and the role our goats play in helping us grow food sustainably. Every harvest starts with healthy soil, and healthy soil starts right here on the farm. ❤️🌿

🐐 Charlie & Norman Are Hard at Work 🌾

Our boys, Charlie and Norman, have been busy making their way through the millet field. What looks like snacking is actually helping us create natural pathways and manage vegetation the homestead way!

The millet has grown tall, and the boys have been enjoying the challenge of working their way through it. Before long, we'll be introducing the girls selected for breeding, and Charlie and Norman will have an important job to do.

For now, they're focused on eating, exploring, and proving once again that goats are some of the hardest-working members of the farm. ❤️🐐

🌱 Garden Update 🌱

Every gardening season comes with wins and losses, and this year has been no different.

Not everything we planted thrived, but the cucumbers, squash, and zucchini have been keeping us busy harvesting!

This photo of Earl standing beneath the cucumber-covered arch is a reminder that even when some crops struggle, there is always something to celebrate in the garden.

Gardening teaches patience, flexibility, and gratitude for every harvest we bring in.
