When you want a functional soda that… actually functions. You know what to grab.

Functional Beverages are not made equal. Say what you want about protein, but the prebiotic soda thing is straight up just a marketing gimmick. The dosages used by these big brand name sodas aren’t meaningfully contributing to your digestion or gut health, they just claim benefits, slap a huge mark-up on their product, and know it’s cheaper to fight the lawsuits than to make a product that’s good and actually functions.

Story Time 📚🥤

What’s up everyone, Dalton here 👋 and recently ProSo sponsored the festival in NY, and while that partnership may not make a ton of sense on the surface, let me explain…

This whole protein soda thing wouldn’t exist without comedy. Shortly after the pandemic, I was looking for ANYTHING to get me out of the house. I saw was offering improv classes here in Greenville, so I decided to give it a shot. Honestly it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I felt WAY out of my comfort zone at first, but the community was unlike anything I had ever experienced and lead to me finding some incredibly funny friends. One of those friends we all know and love, was Sam.

Sam and I just really clicked, I’d be the bright eyed, happy go-lucky real estate agent trying to sell my first home, and he’d be the grotesque goblin creature that lived in the basement who made my pitch a tough sell. A true comedy match made in hell.

Through all the laughs we learned that we were both certified hobby hoppers™️ so we’d constantly try new things and push eachother to be best we could be at them.

Me being a bigger fella, there were some hobbies where I just couldn’t compete. But knowing Sam was registered dietician I asked him to help me get my diet straightened out. His advice was simple: more protein, less sugar. The problem was I HATED protein supplements and was addicted to soda at the time. This got us thinking, and after a few months of home-made experiments we knew we were onto something. Sam put in some serious work in at the lab, and I started mocking up ideas for what the brand could look like and boom - a year or two later, here we are. Starting our journey as entrepreneurs in this massive CPG soda world.

So yeah, without comedy, Sam and I might’ve never met - and that’s why as we grow, we promise to always support the communities that got us here in the first place.
