Tim and I are headed to Lebanon, Tennessee to cook in the KCBS World Rib Final. KCBS invited the 1st Place Rib/Chicken Team of the year for 2024 and 2025 from all of the other professional BBQ organizations. We are honored to represent the GBA and to compete in the 8th Annual KCBS World Rib Final. Hope we do Georgia proud.

We spent the weekend down in Cordele, Ga smoking at Ga. Veteran’s State Park. There were many vendors and plenty of hot air balloons and activities.
Congratulations to Grills Gone Wild on Grand and Rustic Que on RGC

We finished up with
3rd in ribs
5th in loin
10th in pork
That landed us in 2nd place overall

Many thanks to the good folks at Ga. Veteran’s State Park for hosting an awesome event. Thank you to all of the people involved with the GBA that serve tirelessly to keep us smoking all year long. We truly appreciate you all.

We spent the weekend smoking down in Ashburn, Ga. at the Fire-ant Festival. It is one of the most diverse events we attend. They have a carnival and so many vendors for food and crafts. They have entertainment all week long leading up to the festival on Friday and Saturday. It was a very busy event as it added an ancillary chicken category. The GBA typically does not cook chicken. We had a good time trying our hand and were not disappointed. Congratulations to Off the Chain BBQ on Grand Champion and Big Baer’s BBQ on Reserve Grand Champion

Loin 9th 
Ribs 17th
Chicken 5th

That gave us a 5th place finish overall.

The Cook and I headed down to Donalsonville, Ga. this weekend🤣
We had a great time competing with 15 teams. We finaled in loin which was very exciting as it’s been a while. We ended the day earning

3rd in Loin 🏅
9th in Pork 🏅
11th in Ribs 🏅
Earning us 4th overall

Congratulations to Carrie and Chuck East of Off the Chain on Grand Champion ( finaled in 2 categories ) and Grills Gone Wild Competition BBQ (finaled in all 3 categories) on Reserve Grand Champion. What an awesome showing of smoking skills.

We had a great weekend down in Tifton, Ga competing with 31 fabulous teams. The weather was beautiful and the time spent with friends was great as always. We ended the day with

13th in ribs 🏅

That was enough to earn Reserve Grand Champion
Congratulations to Rescue Smokers on Grand Champion and to everyone who walked.
