Today my heart is full.

Our Flag Day Food & Fun Festival at American Legion Post 422 was more than an event. It was proof of what happens when a community decides to show up for each other.

To our sponsors, thank you for standing behind our veterans with your generosity. Your support made every smile possible today.

To our volunteers, Auxiliary, SAL, Legionnaires, thank you for the early mornings, the late nights, the donated time, and the love you poured into every detail. From mowing the grass to running the dunk tank, from wrapping gift baskets to hauling equipment… you carried this event on your backs. I am so proud to call you family.

To our community members who donated every gift basket, every item, every dollar… you gave because you believe in this place and these people. Hale is strong because of hearts like yours.

To my fellow Post 422 members, we did this together. We laughed, we worked, we made it happen. That’s what family does.

And to our veterans, today was about honoring YOU. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and for inspiring us to keep giving back. We see you. We thank you.

I a’m so excited for our Flag Day Food & Fun Festival this Sunday at American Legion Post 422 in Hale, and I’ve got to say I could not be more proud to be part of this team.

This event is happening because every single one of you showed up.

A huge thank you to the Auxiliary for securing donations, gathering supplies, putting together gift baskets, making phone calls, and volunteering to work the event. Your dedication shows.

Thank you to the SAL members who organized a crew to mow the grass, clean the patio, make signs, pick up the dunk tank, and help with all the last‑minute tasks. You jumped in wherever help was needed.

And thank you to the Legionnaires for picking up equipment and creating signage for the canteen. Your support keeps everything running smoothly.

It wasn’t one person. It wasn’t one group. It was all of us, doing our part. That’s how we make things happen!

Thank you for every minute, every call, every load hauled. Thank you for being so dedicated to the our Post.

To the Hale Community, Thank you all so much for caring about our Veterans.

Your support is greatly appreciated!
As an officer of the Hale American Legion Post #422 Auxiliary, Hale, I am making a personal plea, on their behalf.

First off, I like to mention we have a fantastic all new group of Legionaires and Son's officers and mostly new Auxillary officers.

As a non-profit organization, we survive on public support. Over the last 10 years that I have been involved, we have lost the majority of our long standing older members and regular volunteers. Sadly many of them have passed away. We can't support our veterans without your participation. Many of us are older and have health issues, but we are doing what we can. If you have a heart for our military, please consider joining us as a member and/or volunteer. You do not have to be a member to volunteer, but we'd love to have you.

Many VFW's and American Legion posts have closed, due to the above mentioned reasons. I know there are still a lot of Patriots out there, where are you? We need you, our military needs you!. Lets keep the doors open and do what we are here for, and have a little fun and social time in the process. Would an hour or two a month, or a week, be too much to ask?

Outside of the officers, very few show up for meetings and/or to help with events. EVENTS are what brings in the money our veterans need. Money for scholarships, Money for the Iosco County VA services, Christmas with Santa and the Easter Bunny for the community. We'd like to do more, but we need human resources, too.

We have a Flag Day food fair and family fun day coming up June 14th.(Look in Facebook Events for it) We need vendors (donation fee is negotiable) and volunteers to help work the event. Donations of auction and raffle items (new or next to new) are greatly appreciated. You can stop in anytime M-Sat, 2-8pm, and/or private message me for more info. I have a list of items we are looking for.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts if you are still reading this❣️ PLEASE Share this all over our community 😁

I want everyone to be able to go to the food and fun festival June 14th from 12-5 at the American legion post 422 in Hale, so if you can't or don't want to pay 10.00 per adult that is okay, you are still welcome! The $10.00 is not mandatory so please don't let that stop you from enjoying this day with us. Hope to see you there.

Auxiliary members of the American Legion post 422, if you are interested in volunteering the 14th for the food and fun festival we will be meeting at the legion this Monday at 2pm. I appreciate each and every one of you. Renee

📢 HELP US BUILD COMMUNITY — ONE PICNIC TABLE AT A TIME! 📢*

American Legion Post 422 in Hale is getting ready for our June 14th Food Festival to raise emergency funds for local veterans.

*We need picnic tables!*
Have an old wooden or metal picnic table taking up space in your yard? We’ll gladly take it off your hands and put it to good use for our veterans and community events.

Tables mean more families can sit, eat, and enjoy the festival together. And after June 14th, they’ll be used for veteran meetings, family days, and community dinners all year.

Comment below or call/text Renee 989 254 0427 We can arrange pickup in the Hale area.

Every table = more room for neighbors to support our vets. Thank you!
