We’re taking our mission to define Michigan BBQ to a whole new platform.

This one’s been in the works…🔥

Not every flavor you see makes it to the bottle — some have to earn it.

This test run started with a full beef brisket, soaked for 24 hours in a blend of cherry concentrate and cola to build a deep, slightly sweet base. After that, I patted it down and hit it with my Northern Cherry Dust seasoning.

From there… straight to the smoker. Low, slow, and no shortcuts.

What I’m looking for:
Deep flavor all the way through
A bark that actually means something
That balance of sweet, smoke, and bold beef

Some batches hit… some don’t. But that’s the process behind building something legit.

This is how real flavors get made — not guessed.

Every fire has an origin.

Long before The Dry Rub Society existed, my family owned land along Michigan’s famous Fruit Ridge — a place known for its endless rows of apple and fruit orchards.

I never walked those orchards myself. The farm was long gone before my time. But the stories of that land and the generations who worked it never disappeared.

Those roots inspired the first blend of The Dry Rub Society.

Founding Dust — a seasoning born from Michigan soil, orchard tradition, and the spirit of cooking over fire.
