Downward...goat?! Ready to stretch your yoga practice?
We explored the Piedmont Triad to find fun, mindful, and downright fun places to strike a pose. From downtown city vibes to downward dogs with adorable farm animals, wellness comes in all settings:
Downtown Winston-Salem City Vibes & Fresh Air: Catch 2B Yoga for grand sunset salutations in Innovation Quarter. Flow through powerful sequences with Lotus Yoga Academy at Bailey Park.
Pups & Private Parties: Breathe easy at Cathy Knuth Yonaitis's Unite Us Yoga in Greensboro, where you can stretch alongside the owner's sweet canines and book private patio bonfire parties.
Pop-Ups & Fluid Movement: Experience movement as medicine with High Point's Humbled Power Studio's dynamic outdoor pop-ups.
Pastoral Poses & Cow Cuddles: Stretch with miniature goats at Summerfield Farms. Find total peace (and meet highland cows) at Crooked Creek Highlands. Read our article (link below in comments) for more info on all yoga offerings (and there's a goat yoga class coming up Aug. 20 and a yoga class with cows on Sept. 19!).
And we learned of another option we HAD to add: Kitten Yoga! Forsyth Humane Society is offering an hour-long pop-up class led by Breathe Yoga Studio. Per the society's page, "you can enjoy an afternoon of movement, relaxation, and, of course, plenty of kitten cuddles." It's Sat., Aug. 22, beginning at 3 p.m., at 4881 Country Club Rd. Bring a mat. Which one will you try first?!
