We are one week out from Witches Night Out at JDubb's Sports Lounge!

On Friday, October 2, grab your witches and get those brooms ready for a huge night of fun to kick off Halloween month in downtown Hannibal!

Pumpkin spice has made its way into just about everything, so naturally I had to find out if it belongs in an espresso martini. 🎃☕🍸

This Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini combines vodka, Kahlúa, fresh espresso, and homemade pumpkin spice syrup. It’s creamy, frothy, and packed with fall flavor—but does it earn “This makes me do a little happy dance,” or has pumpkin spice officially gone too far?

We need to stop being afraid of the word su***de.

Not “unalived.”
Not “s*icide.”
Not a word hidden behind an asterisk because it makes us uncomfortable.

Su***de. It is a hard word because it represents a devastating reality. But changing the word does not change that reality.

Veterans are dying by su***de. Families are losing sons and daughters, husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters.

Those families should not have to soften the language surrounding their loss to make the rest of us more comfortable.

At Green Star Families of America, we believe part of ending the stigma is being willing to talk about su***de openly, respectfully, and honestly.

Say the word. Not to sensationalize it, and not to reduce someone’s life to the way they died. But because we cannot address something we are unwilling to name.

We can say su***de and still speak with compassion.
We can say su***de and still honor the life that came before it.
We can say su***de without shame.

Say the word. End the stigma. Talk about su***de.
