Hopefully in the next 2 weeks we will be:

🪺Able to continuously offer eating eggs
🪺 Getting the incubator reloaded up
🪺 Welcoming the newly hatched chicks from our first round
🪺Sharing the new breeds we are adding this year
🪺Getting ready for this years gardening season and mapping out the garden
🪺Getting the garden tilled
🪺 planting potatoes

Normally it’s tradition to plant potatoes on St. Patrick’s day ☘️, but with how wet the grounds been it won’t be this year😅

The plums trees were full of blooms before this cold weather came back, hopefully it doesn’t do too much damage, ready to get past this little cold spell and back to spring weather🌼

Hopefully it will dry up a little bit that way we can get the garden area tilled and start getting potatoes planted🪴🥔

We set up at the Salem swap meet today and it was a big success 🥳

We sold our 4 trios and some hatching eggs 🥚

Of course what’s a trip to the swap meet if you don’t end up bringing something home🐓😅

Can’t wait to set up next time🌼

This year on the homestead we have added a few new fruit bearing plants 🌱

We’ve added:
3 blueberries 🫐
2 raspberries 🪷
1 new plum tree 🌳
1 new apriot tree 🌳

I can’t wait until we will be able to start harvestjng and making jellies and jams the next few years🫙🫙

🍄 there are also a few other things we are adding this year, but we will share those later 🤫
