This is goodbye...
Three and a half years ago I started this accidental adventure and it has been an amazing experience where I learned so much! I never expected it to grow as big as it did in its peak, cranking out as many as 200 dozen in a week! But with everything, there is a time where it comes to an end.
We aren't getting the orders we used to, and that's ok! Frankly, it was becoming a job. Let me explain: I bake for fun. It's my creative outlet and when it becomes a job, it's no longer fun. Funny enough, when I stopped having fun orders slowed way down. So I am making the decision to close Sweetie Cakes.
Trust me, it is hard to write this as I am very proud of how recognizable my logo and boxes have become in Harnett County, but it's time to move on. Thank you to each and every customer that has ordered over the years. You have supported my little family.
All that being said, I am not shutting down this page. Why? Because I am going to share my baking passions with you all! I will post videos and recipes on not only my favorite baked goods, but also the coveted Sweetie Cakes recipes so you can make your own.
