There’s something about getting messages like this that makes my heart so happy. ❤️🐾
When I chose to have a litter, I made a promise to myself that being responsible for these puppies wouldn’t end the day they left my home.
My puppies may leave my care, but they never stop being “my puppies.”
Being a responsible breeder means so much more to me than producing a litter, raising them for eight weeks, and sending them home. It means carefully raising them, loving them, socializing them, preparing them for life—and then continuing to be there for their families for the rest of that dog’s life.
I love getting the updates. I love the pictures. I love hearing about training, daycare, hunting, adventures, accomplishments, and even the mischievous Boykin moments. 😂 And if one of my puppy parents ever has a question, concern, or simply needs someone who knows their dog’s beginnings, I will always be here.
I may not breed dogs for a living, but I take the responsibility of bringing these babies into the world very seriously. I know where every one of my puppies went, and I genuinely care about the lives they are living.
Messages like this one about Solveig remind me exactly why. Seeing one of our babies thriving, being trained, socialized, traveling, going to daycare, and absolutely loved is everything I could have hoped for when I placed her in her family. ❤️
The puppy may go home at eight weeks, but my relationship with my puppy families doesn’t have an expiration date.
Once you have one of my babies, you’re stuck with me. 😂❤️🐾
