We had an amazing weekend at the Bucktoberfest & Little Witches show. The girls may have not received any ribbons, but I'm proud of them for being competitive in such a large class. Goldie didn't cause a scene in the ring for once, so I'll take that win and run with it. 😂

Other highlights:
#1. Oaklyn got 3rd place in the pumpkin carving contest and received the cutest plaque.
#2. Josh and I won the co****le tournament and waked away with 2 custom tumblers. If you've ever seen me play co****le, you'll understand the shock.
#3. Josh showed a goat for the 1st time and did a great job! Said goat also went on to be the Jr Reserve Grand Champion.. .too bad we don't have pictures for proof.

Thank you to Andrea at Swisher Hill Farm - Nigerian Dwarf Goats for our updated goat photos, the knowledge you shared with us, and trusting Nalia to show Butters. I also got to hang out with Alyssa at Wisteria Way - Nigerian Dwarf Goats, MaKenna at Everwilde Farms - Nigerian Dwarf Goats, and Hilary at Second Eden Farm. It was so nice meeting these wonderful women and seeing their herds. I can't wait to show with all of you again next year. Goat shows are better with friends, and I'm loving this community of incredible people.

We're heading to our last show this weekend before NAILE in November! And pre-show bath time is not on Ivy's list of favorite things to do. Peep that side eye she's giving. 😂😂 But she did enjoy me holding her like a baby in a towel afterwards.

This weekend we attended the KY Mini Dairy Goat Classic show and had a wonderful time. We'll definitely be back for the show in the spring! I loved the laid back atmosphere and how kind everyone was. The only photo I took was of these 2 potatoes after all of their hard work. 😂 Not the best placings this weekend, but that's okay because we learn something new each show. Goldie made me work for it AGAIN and I'm beginning to wonder if she'll ever step into the ring in a proper manner. 🙄

Goldie- 4th in both junior rings
Izzy- 5th in both intermediate rings

It's always a good time when you get with your "goat friends" and have the opportunity to meet new ones. Even though our friendship is new, I appreciate the laughs, kindness and wisdom of Cory Lee at Finney Farms 2.0 and Emily Sixbey Dickerson at Salt River Run Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats. Shoutout to Emily for letting me borrow her temporary pen, that was much appreciated! And Nalia would still like to steal Sven from you! 😂😂

PS...I believe I've made our breeding decisions, with the first doe *hopefully* being bred in November! I can't wait for little goat babies running around. 😍

I have adored this doe since the day she was born, and I’ve been rooting for her from afar through every show she’s attended. I fell in love with her from the very beginning, and I was actually on her reservation list for the spring. So when Alyssa messaged me asking if I would be interested in purchasing her, I jumped on the opportunity. Like I couldn't physically could not say no! 😂

Every time Alyssa posted a new junior ribbon, I was always hoping it was Izzy that had received it. This girl has placed 1st so many times in the ring this summer, and I’m really hoping she can still earn her dry leg before the year is over! She's dairy, stretchy, long-necked, elegant, and has correct feet and legs. She has that beautiful, refined look that immediately catches your eye and she is just an absolute stunner. I am beyond excited to have her in my herd and cannot wait to see what she produces for us in the future.

And then there’s her personality…..Izzy is a routine girl. If I’m even a few minutes late for something, she lets me know about it! She has fit right in with Goldie and Ivy, although she is NOT impressed with the Kentucky heat this week. (Me either girl). She gives me kisses every morning and evening, plus plenty more throughout the day. Izzy's such a lover and curious about everything without being annoying about it. Grain is her favorite and she would prefer to eat it directly out of the bag. 😂

I absolutely love this girl and her sweet little self. Thank you Alyssa at Wisteria Way - Nigerian Dwarf Goats for giving me the opportunity to bring Izzy home, it means so much to me and I can't thank you enough. I'm excited to see what the future holds for this girl and meet her babies next spring!🩷🐐

If there was ever a goat who decided she was in charge, it would be this girl. 😂 Goldie has a BIG personality and she has already established herself as a little bit of a boss around here. She can have some serious attitude when she wants to, and has been caught head butting other goats at both shows. 😅

Walking in the show ring? Absolutely not her favorite activity. But she is getting better every time and we're proud of the progress she's making. She's a total character! She loves chewing on your clothes, getting chin scratches, and relaxing in the sun. I love that she always looks like she's smiling.

This girl has a lot of body capacity, dairyness, nice open ribs, and good spring of rib. Goldie went 1st place at her very first show and I'm hoping she gets her dry leg soon. 🤞I think this girl has the potential to be very powerful! For now, we're all enjoying our bossy girl and all of her personality.💛

Like I said, we're working on posed pictures, but they aren't making it easy.

Official introductions of our tiny herd!

🌿 Agape’s Prize Green Fairy 🌿
"Ivy"

This girl is the absolute sweetest and has a piece of our hearts already. She has the most gentle, calm eyes, the sweetest little bleet, and she hates when you leave their pen. Ivy absolutely LOVES her bottles, and she's the only one who hasn't weened herself. 💚

I'm really excited about Ivy structurally. She may be little now, but this girl has a lot going for her. I'm loving her width from the rear! She is such a powerhouse from behind, which gives her a beautifully wide arch with tons of room for future udder capacity. She's already grown noticeably in the past 2 weeks and I'm excited to watch her continue to mature and freshen in April/May.

This cutie has a stellar pedigree to back her up and it's loaded with National Champions and finished champions on both sides.
