Hoppy Homestead

I have been MIA this summer due to the heat. It has been brutal on the rabbits and it has taken everything to keep them alive. We did lose several breeding does, a breeding buck and several grow out kits. This by far has been the worst summer on the farm. I am currently working on rebuilding the herd as the cooler weather approaches. Breeding was put to a halt for the rabbits health and safety. BUT! With this cooler weather we have been able to start breeding again. Hopeful to have some kits come the end of October. STAY TUNED!!

Meet Felicia. She is a lionhead doe. My son has developed a recent interest in raising pet breeds, and this doe will be part of the rabbitry he is establishing.
