We try our best to have little to no food waste so when life gives us food scraps we either put it in the compost or we make something else… like chicken stock 🤩

Why go to the grocery store when you can make it yourself. Please note if you do make it yourself it needs to be pressure canned and not water bathed due to the low acidity and the fact it is meat based. Don’t make yourself sick 🤧

Not even a ripe 9 am and Ellie has already earned herself a bath… and I earned a deep clean on the house because it smells like Chicken rear end in this house…

Ellie decided while I was in the shop getting meat out the freezer for dinner to not only roll in the dirt but also CHICKEN CRAP 😭😐 and she not only tracked dirt through the house but then proceeded to lay on the couch 🙃

GOOD MORNING CHAOS 😌

I’m in the process of waking up when the cameras picked up a “vehicle” in the backyard. Usually it’s the cameras being overly sensitive and picking up highway traffic and really nothing… but I decided to check anyway….

Low and behold… the bandits have escaped 🐔

So I high tailed it out the door as best as I could (given the fact I’m currently crippled and have one good knee 😙✌️) because I had a garden to save. Last time they ate majority of my strawberry plants and I was not about to lose more.

They are back safe and sound in their pen now with plenty of treats. They must’ve known I needed an extra push to wake up this morning 😅
