Sara has been working with us for the past couple of weeks, jumping right into the middle of the absolute CHAOS our family has been dealing with. With everything going on with Mom, Dad, Megan, and everything in between, we honestly never properly introduced her — but she has been here, working hard and helping us keep things moving.

So THANK YOU, Sara, and welcome officially to the Holcomb’s family! ❤️

A Heartfelt Thank You — We’re Reopening ❤️

The past few days have been some of the hardest our family has ever walked through.

We made the difficult decision to close Holcomb’s Seafood & Meats so that Jeremy could be with his Mom and our family during her final days, and to have the time we needed to say goodbye. Today, we honored her life and celebrated her memory at her memorial service.

Our hearts are still heavy, and we know grief doesn’t disappear when the service is over. But we also know how incredibly blessed we are to have family, friends, customers, and a community that has surrounded us with so much love, prayer, encouragement, and support.

Thank you. Truly. ❤️

To everyone who checked on us, prayed for us, brought meals, helped around our home, sent messages, helped with Dad, or simply reminded us that we weren’t alone — we will never forget it.

Now, with grateful hearts, Holcomb’s Seafood & Meats is reopening and getting back to what we love — serving our community.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we took this time to be with our family.

A Family Update from Holcomb’s Seafood & Meats ❤️

Our doors will be closed for the remainder of this week, and we will reopen Tuesday, August 25th.Right now, our place is exactly where it needs to be,with family.We are spending the final precious hours we have with Jeremy’s mom as she prepares to transition from this life into eternity. These are incredibly difficult and sacred moments as we hold her close, surround her with love, and prepare our hearts to say our final “see you later” to a woman who means so very much to our family.While our hearts are incredibly heavy and we are deeply saddened by the loss we know is coming, we are also holding tightly to the hope and promise of Heaven. We know this goodbye is not forever. Soon, Momma Holcomb will trade a body weakened by illness and dementia for a perfect heavenly body with no more pain, no more confusion, no more suffering. And because of Jesus, we have the beautiful assurance that one day we will see her again. What a precious promise to cling to when our hearts are breaking.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience our closure may cause and hope you all understand our need to step away from the market and simply be a family during these final moments.More than anything, we ask that you please pour your prayers over our family, and especially over Jeremy, in the days ahead. Pray for strength, comfort, peace, and for us to cherish every remaining moment we are given.

Thank you for loving our family so well, for supporting our little market, and for giving us the grace to step away when family needs us most.
We love and appreciate you all more than you know. This isn’t goodbye, Momma H. It’s just “see you later.” Until we meet again.

🚨 GUESS WHO’S BACCCKKKK?! 🙌🏼🥩🐟

I just couldn’t take being away from Holcomb’s Seafood & Meats any longer! While I’m still healing from hip surgery and definitely not quite ready for my normal grind yet, I’m going to start easing my way back into the shop for a few hours a couple of times a week.
And let me tell you… I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE Y’ALL! 🥹❤️ It has been WAY too long since I’ve been behind that counter seeing all of your beautiful faces! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. Thank you for every prayer, every message, every phone call, every time you checked in on me, every card and gift, and all of the love, support, and encouragement you’ve shown me through this whole crazy broken-hip-and-surgery ordeal. Y’all have reminded me over and over just how blessed we are to have the absolute BEST customers, friends, and community supporting our little family business.
