🐝 Spring 2026 Nuc (Nucleus Honey Bee Hive) Waitlist Is Open! 🐝
We can never promise exactly how many nucs we’ll have available come spring — but we’re feeling very optimistic about all the colonies we’re overwintering right now. Our no-obligation waitlist is now open, and people are already signing up! We expect to have plenty of bees to share this year.
🌸 What to Expect
Our bees are state-inspected (currently certified for 2025, with re-inspection scheduled for spring 2026). This is a health inspection required for sale. There's many other apiaries in Virginia, if you decide to go with them, make sure they show you a current inspection.
We’ll begin splitting hives in early March, and the first round of nucs will be ready shortly after.
You’ll receive a healthy, thriving nucleus colony ready to move straight into a full-size hive.

We stand behind our bees. If you meet our self-inspection and care guidelines, we’ll guarantee your bees for 90 days. If something goes wrong and you’ve followed our care steps, we’ll replace your nuc free of charge. We want you and your bees to succeed — and we’re here every step of the way.

If you’re just getting started, you’ll need a few basics:

🏠 A Full Hive Body – we sell hives, but it’s way cheaper to buy your own!
We also provide free text-based mentorship to help you and your bees thrive. If you’ve struggled with beekeeping before — trust us, we’ve been there too. We learned the hard way, and we’ll help you avoid the same mistakes.
🍯 About Our Bees
Technically, they’re Italian bees, but the truth is they’re Virginia well-breds (mutts) — hardy, gentle, and downright amazing.
We also raise a special line from our 2024 queen, Princess Peach 👑🐝. Her daughter colonies show an incredible trait called chewing — they widen entrances and create upper ones. It sounds strange, but it’s actually a sign of intelligence and resilience we’re proud to see across all her hives.

We accept credit cards, Cash App, Venmo, and cash, and we’re happy to discuss payment plans.

📍 Location & Delivery
We’re located in Dunnsville, VA, but we’ll gladly deliver your hive to Short Pump or South Side for FREE (since hubby and I both work in those locations)! Did you know that the bees stay well contained during shipment? We routinely transport in our vehicles with our kiddos in tow.
