Mississippi Community Cookbook Project

Mississippi Community Cookbook Project The Mississippi Community Cookbook Project collects, digitizes, and describes community cookbooks published in Mississippi in the 20th century.

In addition to posting updates about the Mississippi Community Cookbook Project (http://mscommunitycookbook.usm.edu), the MCCP page will pick a curious recipe from a Mississippi community cookbook to post each week. The Mississippi Community Cookbook Project is a non-profit collaboration between the College of Arts & Letters and the McCain Library and Archives at The University of Souther

n Mississippi. We are collecting, digitizing, and describing 20th-century cookbooks published in Mississippi and making them available to the public. To learn more about the project, visit our webpage. The MCCP depends upon donations from members of the public to grow its collection. Cookbook published before 1970, pending copyright clearance, will be digitized and made available through the Mississippi Community Cookbook Project and the McCain Library. Cookbooks published after 1970 are added to the physical collection. Please consider donating your community, church, and charity cookbooks to this worthwhile effort to preserve Mississippi history. The project is led by Andrew P. Haley, an associate professor of American cultural history at Southern Miss.
