"The Steppingstone Museum provides a necessary look into the past. It was founded that we shall remember where we came from that we shall be able to look intelligently into the future. It is dedicated to the men and women of the past century in this community who found that labor was honorable and satisfying to the soul; who found that craftsmanship, excellently performed, is the essence of art." -J.

As our small staff of 2, Board of Directors, volunteers, & more continue to reorganize following the postponement of our biggest fundraiser of the year, the annual Fall Harvest Festival, we are also left with storm damage in the wake of Ophelia.
With 24 structures across 23 acres, it's a lot to handle for such a small non-profit organization, especially with so many moving pieces for this event.
Please consider supporting us by shopping & sharing our Amazon Wish List, or by making a monetary donation through the link in the comments.

And please, follow us as we announce the new date for the festival, share the info like wildfire, & please come out to support us & our amazing volunteers.
Thank you. ❤️

We have diligently been watching the tropical storm Ophelia. It was decided that the outlook for tomorrows weather is too unpredictable at this point. Therefore, we have made the decision to not hold the Fall Harvest Festival on Sunday, September 24th. We will be postponing the event in its entirety. We will announce the postponement date early this week.

Steppingstone is a small nonprofit that counts on festivals like Fall Harvest for funding. I will not lie and say the weather has been our friend this year, in regards to event weekends. We were desperately and truly wishing for a miracle in regards to the weather this weekend. However, we did not get so lucky. After evaluation of the updated forecast, we have decided that while we wanted to move forward with both festival days, it was not worth the safety of our vendors, volunteers, staff and patrons. As such, we have decided to cancel Saturday of the festival.
We do ask that our community rallies around Steppingstone on Sunday and help make this festival a successful one. We greatly enjoy putting on these events for families and look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday.

What do you call a rainy day when the sun comes out?
A “wet”-ther miracle!
While we are still hoping for a change in the upcoming weather, we are watching the forecast diligently.
Fall Harvest is a rain or shine event! The majority of our activities will be either under cover or in one of our 23 buildings. We hope that you will visit us this weekend and enjoy the great festival we have put together for you. Your attendance directly supports our nonprofit Museum.
