Just sharing my bundle of ✨PERFECT✨ black copper marans from my HB MARANS eggs I ordered this spring. I lost the little tiny one that had hatched early (yolk wasn’t completely absorbed). I figured it may not make it, but I always give them a chance if they’re willing to try. In the end- I have 12 happy/healthy/large chicks doing great in the brooder right now.
Can’t wait to see these guys go. I’ll definitely be growing out these cockerels and finding a few nice roosters to take over here!🤎

Introducing Laila Chocolata! 🤎

This little pullet is unstoppable and undoubtedly carrying the grace, looks, and quiet confidence of her 5× great-grandmother, Chocolate Chip. A beautiful hen whose influence still lives on in my line.

Laila Chocolata is named in honor of Laila Pond! A with over 9 years of service. I want to take a moment to thank her for the dedication, grit, and sacrifice her career demands.

As a firefighter mom, I know first hand how much heart this work takes… the drive, the sacrifice, and the unwavering courage firefighters show every day. They are truly incredible people. I hope others reading this will join me in thanking Laila for her service as well. 🙏❤️

Laila recently hatched some my flocks eggs, and watching her step into that difficult process has been incredibly meaningful. The qualities of patience, consistency, respect for the work at hand, along with the responsibility for living beings are exactly what makes a wonderful breeder and she is with out a doubt overqualified! I’m proud to mentor her and excited to see where her journey leads. God Bless and protect you Laila Pond!

I want to thank everyone who mentions, likes, compliments and fancies my flock. Thank you! It truly means more to me than you probably realize.

Seems like there are never enough hours in a day and by the time I can even look at my phone my eyes are crossing because I finally stopped and sat down for a coffee. ☕️ ofcourse! 😉

Managing a working farm of horses, cows, sheep, goats, chickens, livestock gaurdian dogs and my family, along with kidding and lambing days, freezing night watch… most of my time is spent doing the hands on work that comes first.
Then I give as much one on one support to my buyers and mentees who’ve trusted me to be there like I said I would and maybe pop up a video or picture here on fb.

I’m stretched thin, and I’m freezing but I want to make sure you all here know…. I see you and appreciate all of you! Thank you for spending a little of your precious time on visiting me here. Thank You for your kind words and mentions that circle back to me. 💕
