I had a little realization on my morning walk the other day while enjoying this cooler weather- it hit me that we're nearing the end of October, and for the first time in YEARS, I'm not hustling to get everything ready for the Christmas rush.

No stressing over inventory, no filling orders like crazy, no trying to get a million things done before the holidays and dealing with listing things on the website, and honestly, it's such an odd but really nice feeling! I'm so used to this time of year being go, go, go, and it's been pretty wonderful just being able to slow down and enjoy it all.

That being said, the website will only be open for a couple more weeks before I shut it down for good, so if there's anything you've been wanting to order, now's the time! What's left is what's left! 🍂✨️🖤

Each year I make a batch of fire c***r to help keep our immune systems in check throughout fall and winter. I was a little behind on it this year, and only realized it when I was hit with a cold that quickly turned into a raging ear infection just last week. Needless to say, I won't ever forget to make it again! 🤣😖 Feeling much better this week thankfully!
🔥Fire c***r is very easy to make. You use apple c***r vinegar WITH the "mother" as the base. It has to have the mother in it, since that's where all the good bacteria and probiotics are. You can fill a jar with all kinds of veggies and herbs, but these are my favorites to add...

- horseradish root
-onions
-lots of garlic
-orange and lemon slices
- ginger root
-turmeric
-hot peppers
-cinnamon sticks (make sure to use food grade), clove, allspice, & bay leaf
-fennel
-peppercorns
-rosemary, thyme, & oregano

Top these with the apple c***r vinegar and let sit for about 4 weeks minimum, then strain. You can add raw honey at this point, too. You can take shots of this (which i personally don't like because it is STRONG) or dilute with some water, or drizzle it over some salad greens along with some olive oil - it tastes really good this way! It's a very fun and easy form of Folk Medicine to make!

I made a batch of elderberry syrup yesterday to have ready for cold/flu season. I love doing stuff like this- it always makes me feel like the town witch, brewing potions and whatnot. 🤣 Hey, if the broom fits, right?
I use dried elderberries since I can never find them fresh down my way. Supposedly they grow in my area, but i never see them.🤷🏻‍♀️
✨️I love to add whatever sounds good and what I have on hand- things like lemon and orange slices, ginger root, cinnamon, clove, bay leaf, rosemary, star anise, and cardamom. I did add some feverfew and yarrow to this batch for their fever reducing properties.
✨️just add to a pot with water and gently simmer until it's been reduced down by about half. Let cool, and then you can add raw honey at this point, or just leave it be and add honey when you drink it, which is what I like to do.
✨️I pour this into ice cube trays and store in the freezer- i'll pop a cube into my tea for an extra immune boost when I feel i need one. So easy, fun to make, and great for you! Try it out this season- nows the time to be prepping for the colder months ahead!

We spent a few glorious days in the Smoky Mountains!🌲🍂⛰️🦌🧸
And now we’re back home just in time for Georgia to finally start feeling a little more like fall. I’m not mad about it!

Genuinely appreciate every comment, message, and email i've received in regards to closing my business.🥰🩷 I have said it before and I'll say it again- I really hit the jackpot when it came to customers. I can literally count on one hand the number of more "difficult" customers I've had over the years, and they were all one and done shoppers who bought off Etsy during Christmas time (the typical time of year all the crazies come out lol) so i am SO grateful!

✨️the website is still open for a little while yet, and i'm including a complimentary gift with each purchase from here on out. Could be a lip balm, could be a lotion bar, could be a soap saver, it'll be a surprise!🙀

A little change in plans... 🩷 lengthy, but please read.
I had originally planned to keep the farm stand open through mid November, but I've decided to close it earlier than planned.

This is something I've gone back and forth about quite a bit. This little business has brought me so much joy over the years. I've met wonderful people, learned more than I ever expected about business (and myself), made more soap than I ever imagined I would, and created something that was completely my own. Every product, every package, every post- it was all 100% me. And for a long time, I really, really loved it.

But if I'm being honest, the last couple years have been hard. Rising costs, social media becoming increasingly difficult for small businesses, and the constant pressure to keep up started turning something I loved into something that felt like an obligation.

I've realized I don't want to spend my time doing something that no longer feels fun or inspiring.

I have a lot happening behind the scenes right now, and I'm ready to put my time and energy toward the things that make me excited again. It feels like the right time.

The website will still be closing as planned, and I'm not making any promises about what may or may not come next. I may make soap again someday simply because I feel like making soap. I may not. Right now, I'm okay with not knowing.

What I DO KNOW is that I want this little corner of the internet to stay.
I'd love for this page to become less about selling things and more about sharing the things I actually love- gardening, baking, cooking, homesteading, creative projects, traveling, and all the little everyday things that make life feel good.

No sales pitch, no algorithm constantly pi***ng me off, no pressure to constantly be producing something.
Just a cozy little corner of the internet where I can share what I'm up to. If that's your vibe, I hope you'll stick around. 🩷

Thank you to everyone who has ever stopped by the farm stand, ordered something, bought a bar of soap, shared a post, told a friend, or simply followed along. I genuinely appreciate every bit of it.
I'm not sad to close this chapter, I'm actually really excited.✨️

Happy Friday, farmstand shoppers! We are open today and tomorrow from 9-3! I am completely SOLD OUT of all soaps. Yes, you read that right.😅 However, I still have lots of lip balms, lotion bars, crocheted pumpkins, simmer pot bags, and more!
🍂a heads up that I will be closed next weekend, so if you just have to have yourself felt ghost or a lip balm, come get it this weekend!

I LOVE when customers leave little notes for me.🥰 Things like this make my day. We are OPEN again today from 9-3!
