We had a great first schooling show of the season at Sandstone Farm this past weekend! It was a fun day that ended in smiles all around! A huge thanks to the parents for their help and dedication in getting the kids back & forth to the barn for show prep & the early show day wake up call. Special thanks to Allison and her daughter Courtney for spending their morning supporting us and lending a helping hand with the horses 💗. Allison captured some gorgeous moments from the day and was generous enough to share. So proud of this little barn family that is really starting to bloom and seeing these amazing relationships grow and how hard these kids work to make their dreams come true 🥰

This summer we are offering a Student Horse Camp designed for our current riding students! Five days of horse-related activities from riding lessons to learning topics in horsemanship, such as veterinary practices for the horse owner, show prep,lunging a horse, designing a jump course and more! This is a more “serious” but fun camp for those who want to learn as much as possible about horses! The last day we will have a fun horse show and a picnic to close out the week! The date will be either week of June 27 or July 11– let us know which week works best— we will pick the date that had most interest.

As the month of April winds down, we want to recognize our Featured Rider of the Month! ✨
This month, we recognize 2 riders: Audrey and Julia Hambleton. Both girls volunteer their Thursdays to spend time at the barn helping with chores and lending a helping hand wherever they can - always with a smile! 😃
When asked, “What do you like best about riding/horses? Audrey responded “I think the partnerships developed between horse and rider are unique and pretty cool. “ Julia responded, “I like horses because they are beautiful and intelligent creatures. I like riding because it’s fun, awesome and cool!”

Team Fitzgerald had another great day of showing at our 2nd IEA competition! As always, the girls were supportive of one another and helpful when needed!
