Love and learn and grow with grit! My dad reminded me what I do and what I teach, and what I provide is not my name and it doesn’t matter! 🫐
I named my little business Huckleberry Hen Farm 7 years ago, because this little homestead of mine started with a few hens, a red chicken coop and a dream. Huckleberries will always remind me of some of my favorite times in childhood. Roaming the woods with my dad and my sister in the August sunshine, just talking and giggling while we covered ourselves in purple delicious huckleberry juice.
I am being forced to abandon the name Huckleberry Hen Farm. Some other person also finds ‘Huckleberry Hen’ to be a perfect name for her business and slapped a trademark on it, making it illegal for me to also use it. Apparently two women cannot coexist under the same business name.
Bear with me as I rebrand and reconstruct everything from my website, to my social media, to my bank and tax accounts, to my invoicing, my labels and my blog. Initially, I was very heartbroken, but I know that I am not the name of my business. There’s so much beyond that.✌🏻 thank you for your continued support of Huckleberry Hen Farm and whatever name we become….
