With all the new faces here lately from our dog treats, I figured it might be time to reintroduce myself.
I'm Katie (KT), the owner of KT's Herbs & Goods. By day, I work full-time in the automotive industry and have spent the last 16 years in customer service. One thing those years have taught me is that people remember how you make them feel. That's something I carry into every order, every market, and every interaction.
The rest of the time you'll usually find me in the garden, in the kitchen, at a farmers market, spending days on the lake with my family, or chasing whatever wild idea I've come up with next.
Pictured is my husband, Allen (who is severely underpaid and overworked by the owner 🤣), and our two Labradors, Sadie and Woodford—the mascots who keep this brand authentic and the reason our dog treats exist in the first place. 🐾
What started as a love for gardening, baking, canning, and creating things for family and friends has grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined.
When I started KT's Herbs & Goods, I had a vision that it would be more than just a business. I wanted it to be a way to share the things I love most while also creating community, encouraging others, and pointing people back to faith. In a world that can feel disconnected, I wanted to create a space where people felt welcome, valued, and cared for.
Today, you'll find us making homemade dog treats, dessert loaves, jams, concentrates, fresh herbs, seasonal produce, flowers, and whatever else I decide to add to my plate. 😅
The connections we've made through this little business mean more than you'll ever know. We genuinely enjoy meeting new people, hearing your stories, and getting to know the faces behind the orders. One thing we've learned along the way is that the world is a whole lot smaller than we think. Somehow, there's always a connection waiting to be made.
I'll be honest…some days feel overwhelming. Balancing a full-time career, a growing business, a garden, markets, and everyday life can be a lot. But the Lord has made every bit of this possible. His faithfulness is written all over this journey, and I will continue to give Him the glory and share His love through the things we grow, bake, create, and sell. My prayer is that everything we make reflects His goodness in some small way.
Everything we do is rooted in simple ingredients, quality products, community, and a whole lot of faith.
