This is what connecting with horses can look like. Building confidence, feeling peaceful and connected, no judgement just being. These kids during Farm Camp at Hendo Care Farm experienced all that. Timid in the beginning, unsure if themselves, to confident and involved.
Hendo Care Farm offers a 3 week Horsemanship FUNdamentals program where anyone can experience the magic of horses. This is a non-riding program designed to immerse you in what it feels like being around horses and horse ownership.

Starting to look at bit beach like and slighty comfortable. To bad we don't have 30 amp service at the house, its like a blast furnace inside this travel trailer. No AC ,115vac,TV, hot water without 30 amp service. The only options we can operate are the retractable awning , the slide out and the radio. Which realy put a drain on the batteries. It dose have a trickle solar charger for the batteries that will charge in an hour or so. Trying to get the travel trailer ready for its maiden voyage test trip next week, it's only about 8 minutes from our house, but hey, you gotta start somewhere. Sweating my ass off on this 88 deg 90 precent humidy day inside this travel trailer, mabye we can rent it out for hot yoga! Our 2 cats are very intrigued to check this travel trailer.

Hello once agian, hope everyone is ejoying this amazing Western North Carolina weather were having!
Today's journey brings us not to a craft brewery per say, but to a farm to table restaurant the Local Table , curated by Stump Farms. Located on 7th Ave E. In Hendersonville, NC.
I normally don't write blogs for restaurants, well, unless they have a craft brewery attached to them. However, the Local table offers plenty of Local craft beer, including one of my local favorites, Guidon Brewing Company, right close by. And they also have a bakery and a farm that grows all there produce they use in there creative menu iteams. And that is definitely enough for me .
The local Table specializes in Breakfast tacos, however they also offer many other delish food items on there very creative menu. They are open for breakfast and lunch.
To tell the truth with all the Taco restaurants in Hendersonville, NC area ,I was strating to definitely get my fill of tacos. And when the Local table opened, it took me awhile to walk in and try this restaurant. But let the truth be told. The Local Table has put a new very creative spin on breakfast tacos and there breakfast tacos have once agian enlightened my interest in the delicious delectable Taco.
There menus iteams have to be one of the most creative menus I've have seen in a long while, they also offer plenty of Vegan and GF Iteams along with many other delicious food offerings. They have a full bar, craft beer, NA drinks, delicious coffee and much more. The atmosphere is just as creative as there menue with sort of an old world Farm House atmosphere. Very comfortable indeed.
I quickly oreded a Americanco Taco and a potato and egg Taco, sounds kind of ordinary, but let me tell you these tacos are anything but ordinary. The burst of flavors of each taco were just layered wonderfully, and the ingredients used is the freshest I've ever tasted, I am pleasantly addictive to The Local tables breakfast Tacos and that is an understatement. The service Is friendly and fast! Kudos the the the kitchen staff!
I'm pleasantly anticipating in trying some of the Lacal Tables other delicious menu iteams and also stopping in for lunch as soon as I can. They also offer some of there farm grown produce and bakery products for take home and wine.
I love supporting local flavor, especially a Fram to Table one with its own bakery.
These small independently owned businesses are the backbone of this country and always will be. And I will continue to support locally owned independent businesses, for with out them life would be boring and flavorless.
When visting the Hendersonville, NC area The local Table sould definitely be on your list for breakfast or lunch, you definitely will not be disappointed .
Untill next time, support your local independent businesses.
delizioso,
The Beer Monk.

Cheers to everyone, and welcome to the month of June!
Our craft beer journey today brings us to the city of Raleigh, North Carolina, and our destination: **Bhavana Brewing Company**, right in the heart of downtown. Raleigh is a vibrant, incredibly fun city with a great energy vibe and tons of eateries, shops, and craft breweries.
Getting to our hotel downtown was a bit of a challenge due to all the amazing street festivals going on in the vicinity. However, we were able to figure it out after a short while and happily made it. We parked our car in the garage and continued to the brewery on foot, which was much easier and faster.
Once we made the walk to Bhavana Brewing Company, I felt the need for a craft beer—a lager, to tell the truth. Luckily, Bhavana had just what I was craving. Upon entering this very unique taproom space, you are greeted by a very friendly staff and escorted to a table in the dining area or to a seat at their massive bar. The taproom and restaurant sections are split into separate rooms. I have rarely experienced this type of layout in a craft brewery, and while that type of atmosphere can sometimes give a space an identity crisis, it works incredibly well here.
Bhavana Brewing Company is mainly a lager and specialty craft brewery with an Asian flair. Their selection of beer offerings is very unique in style, and their Asian food menu looks just as delightful. The atmosphere brings an almost bookstore or library feel with a contemporary style. Somehow, the design of the layout and the different sections work perfectly, giving you a slightly different atmosphere in each area while still seamlessly blending them together.
After we were shown to our table, a very friendly and knowledgeable waitress introduced herself. She proceeded to take our drink order while filling us in on the amazing food and craft beer menu. We immediately ordered a pint of **Brisk Pilsner** and a half-pint of **Petal**—a Rosé Ale brewed with hibiscus, rose petals, fresh raspberry, and grapefruit. In addition, we partook in an order of noodles with chicken and broccoli, stir-fried green beans, and congee soup.
The Brisk Pilsner was just amazing, featuring an upfront nose of crystal hops with a slight touch of rolled oats and biscuit malt. I have never heard of rolled oats being used in a pilsner-style beer, but it definitely works here. It was wonderfully crisp and flavorful, and a bit rounder than most pilsners I have experienced—most likely due to the use of rolled oats in the mashing process. It is a very easy-drinking pilsner with an amazing amount of body and flavor, finishing crisp, clean, and very dry. This wonderfully brewed pilsner is incredibly drinkable and definitely leaves you wanting another. Hats off to Bhavana Brewing Company—well done!
The Petal Rosé Ale was just as spectacular. I have to admit, this has to be one of the most unique styles of craft beer I’ve ever had the pleasure to enjoy. It was delicate and bright, with an upfront aroma of rose hips and hibiscus. The first sip creates a very happy palate with a slight sourness and a wonderful flavor of raspberry and grapefruit. It is beautifully balanced and layered; the artistry of the flavors comes to play and keeps this fine craft beer delightful all the way to the finish. I highly recommend it to anyone. Definitely indulge in this finely brewed ale.
And the food? Well, I have to admit, our meal was unbelievably delicious and probably some of the very best Asian food we have ever experienced—and I truly mean that from the heart. Bhavana’s food menu is highly creative and packed with amazingly beautiful flavors.
Raleigh, NC is a great overnight trip from Western North Carolina. It's a fantastic foodie city with plenty of craft breweries, and Bhavana Brewing Company should definitely top your list. You will not be disappointed!
Until next time, have an electrifying week, and may craft beer enhance your journeys.
