What do pie pumpkins, Grayson, and one sassy red mare have in common? **Pumpkin Pie!** 🎃🥧

The pie pumpkins are almost ready, Grayson’s taking charge of dessert as our Pie Master and “Sweet as Pie”—aka Pumpkin—is still patiently putting up with the kids’ shenanigans. That mare deserves a slice… or at least extra snacks! 🐴😂

It’s officially pumpkin season on the farm! 🍂

Even though it was 90° today, fall has entered the farm chat! 🍂☀️ Sweet potatoes 🍠, pie pumpkins 🎃, and butternut squash 🧡 are here—with a few summer favorites 🫛 🌶️ 🫑 still hanging on. Enjoy them while they last! 🥰

The cabbage white decoys are up, guarding our tender brassicas with the confidence of tiny paper bouncers 🥬🦋🚫

Cabbage whites are territorial, so when they spot the garden’s “already taken” signs, they’ll hopefully go bother someone else’s cabbage. Not ours. We have decoys. 😎

No chemicals here—just creativity, scissors, and a deeply unserious security system ✂️🌱

We aren’t exactly sure what he is saying but he sure has a lot to say! To think when he arrived we couldn’t even make eye contact without him wanting strike at us. We don’t have a lot of background on this guy - when I went to pick him up they asked me 3 times if I was sure I wanted him - he was feral and unhandled. Fast forward 6 months and he is the snuggliest, most affectionate cat we have - and by far the most vocal!

These beauties are headed into the greenhouse to cure, and we couldn’t be happier. It’s our favorite time of year—and the crop that started our family farm! 💛🌱
