We’re beyond excited to share some big news—With the Wind Vineyard & Winery, LLC is expanding to Hill City, the heart of the Black Hills to bring our wines and hospitality to even more people across South Dakota.

As of April 1, With the Wind Vineyard & Winery will officially take over the McGregor & Main - Luxury Lofts building on Main Street, and here’s what’s in store:

A New With the Wind Winery Tasting Room – Opening in May. The downstairs winery operations will include space to welcome both locals and travelers to enjoy our signature wines in a whole new setting.

Luxury Short-Term Rentals in the upper level feature seven upscale lofts (available for immediate booking), accommodating groups of 2 to 12 guests, making it the perfect getaway in the Black Hills.

This expansion wouldn’t be possible without you! Your support & belief in what we do have made this journey possible, and we are so grateful.

As we grow, our roots in eastern South Dakota remain strong, and our original location will continue to thrive. We look forward to this exciting new chapter and can’t wait to share it with you. Your support means the world to us!

A New Chapter for 285 Main Street!

Since opening our doors in October 2023, The Pack Mule has had the honor of being part of the Hill City community. While our time here has been short, it has been incredibly meaningful. We've grown to love this town, its people, and the energy that makes it so special.

As we prepare to close our Hill City location on March 15th, our hours will remain Tuesday - Saturday 12p to 6p. Draft beer & wine by the glass will be available, and all merchandise in the store will be discounted 25%. Stop in, say goodbye and stock up before we go!

Though this chapter is closing, our journey is far from over. The Pack Mule was originally planned as a satellite store, with our main location set for Rapid City. Construction delays led to a shift in our timeline, but we remain committed to bringing our vision to life. We will be searching for a new home for The Pack Mule—both in Rapid City and possibly right here in Hill City again.

To our customers, neighbors, and friends: Thank you for your support, kindness, and encouragement. Though our journey at McGregor & Main (285 Main St.) is coming to an end, exciting things are on the horizon for this space. A new business will soon be calling it home—stay tuned for what’s next!
