Received these pictures and message from dad's doctor from OSU today.

I apologize for the informal means of communication. I thought showing you how much taking care of Jeff impacted me.

Every last day on service, I wear his hat and my boots to honor those I have served and remember why I am doing this job. It isn't easy sometimes; remembering those I have served helps.

Please give the McCoy boys (in fact, your entire clan).

Jeff is remembered fondly.

I still remember the day at the hospital when dad told me to get his doc a hat. They quickly bonded and developed a friendship. We made sure the hat was delivered the next day. Doc wore the hat and his boots on the day dad was released. Dad made an impact on doc and we can still see that today.

I hope to be able to make the same impact on others as dad did throughout his life.
