Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at the Summers County Farmers Market, Hinton, 0800-1200, with tons of FRESH BLACKBERRIES, teas, and jams, as well as some new products and fresh produce, and COMFREY!

Ever wonder what you could use as a natural fertilizer, help keep the mountain from eroding and aid in supporting your bones, joints and muscles? Introducing COMFREY!

"1. What is COMFREY?
COMFREY is a tall, hairy-leaved plant with bell-shaped flowers, native to Europe and Asia but naturalized in North America. It’s often called 'knitbone' or 'boneset' due to its traditional use in supporting bone and tissue repair.

2. What are its traditional uses?
Historically, COMFREY was used for wound healing, reducing inflammation, easing muscle and joint pain, and supporting recovery from sprains and minor injuries."

We will have COMFREY plants and COMFREY salve for sale tomorrow. Come talk to farmer Jenn and learn more about COMFREY.

As always, our products, produce and plants are organically grown and/or sourced using regenerative processes. See you tomorrow!

As we celebrate 250 years of independence, we consider "where does our food come from?"

"Two hundred and fifty years ago (the 1770s), wild blackberries were a vital staple in the Southern Appalachians. For Indigenous communities like the Cherokee, these thorny brambles served as a food source, a textile fiber (canes were spun into twine), and a versatile medicine for everything from stomach ailments to sore throats."

Come see us this morning at the Summers County Farmers Market, Hinton, and pick up some blackberry staples... thornless blackberry plants, jams, jelly's, syrups, teas and lip balms.

Have a beautiful Indepence Day!
