For us, Homesteaders of America is this beautiful place where we recharge and get re-inspired by the legends of this homesteading world we call home.

But it’s more than that. It’s also a place where our “old life” in Maryland and our “new life” in Virginia come together in a cherished reunion.

Even though we’ve heard most of the speeches and met most of the people, it doesn’t matter. It’s a place where we come together, fill our cups, and love each other.

To the beautiful women I got to hug this weekend, I’m grateful for you, and so appreciative that I got the chance, once again, to see your faces. ❤️

AND as you may have guessed by the picture of my booth, I was so immersed in the moment that I didn't get a single picture with a single person the entire weekend. 😆

I had it in my head that my twin girls would both give me twin girls. Instead they both had the most adorable little bull calves. That’ll teach me to count my chicks. 😂 Moms and babies are healthy and happy and that’s all that matters. The teen pregnancies are officially over and now we’re on to young motherhood. Grandma is super proud 😍

I’m going to have a very hard time not spamming you with this little girl. She’s had a rocky start but is gaining momentum and bouncing around with her little wobbly legs. Sometimes there’s a special one that grabs your heart and she is one of those. Even Tom is sneaking kisses when no one is looking. 😆

I haven't known how to say this... but we've been dealing with 𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 here on the farm. 🤭

Remember my sweet twin girls...?

Well, our bull spent last winter jumping fences and bulldozing gates to get to them. Apparently, he was a very determined young man.

We've been a little worried because the girls were about 3–4 months younger than we would have liked when they were bred... but life happens.

Earlier this week, Birdie welcomed a sweet little bull calf into the world, and thankfully, both mama and baby are doing great. ❤️

She's adjusting to young motherhood and learning a very important life lesson:

There ARE consequences to your actions. 😂
