This is MY OPINION
When buying animals for PET ONLY and using them to breed anyways is not right.

Any animal that I breed and say it is PET QUALITY is for a REASON that I don’t owe anyone an explanation for but glad to answer any questions.

Here are a few reasons why my animals will be PET ONLY.
1 - the animal is not up to my quality standards to continue its bloodlines in my opinion
2 - genes that were passed down and not recommended to pass down to future offspring. (Pinched hips, birth defects, health concerns, runts of the litter, etc)
3 - perfectly good animals who meet ALL requirements but the person interested agreed to not breed. The animal will not come with pedigree or registration papers and a “no breeding rights” contract will be signed.
4 - the animal is over breeding age in my opinion and is RETIRED needing a loving family and soft place to land.

Each breeder has their OWN REASONS why animals are sold as pet quality and breeding quality. Some have different prices and some are the same regardless. Each breeders reason are THEIR BUSINESS AND THEIR CALL. If you don’t agree then u can have a different opinion for ur own business 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you purchase an animal as PET QUALITY and breed it anyways just know that you are apart of the reason why pet quality is culled in certain Rabbitry’s and farms… I said what I said!!!

Lastly some animals homed as PET ONLY could be completely fine breeding wise but not come with their paperwork. Just know that you will be missing ALL HISTORY because you don’t have the paperwork with the bloodlines/good qualities/bad
qualities. Because u wanted to save a few dollars???
Breeding PET ONLY for PET ONLY offspring is STILL WRONG. Pet only means NO BREEDING PERIOD!!

If u want to breed… FINE!! It’s ur business but do it the RIGHT WAY!! If u can’t afford pedigrees or registered animals or other breeding quality that is not registered (because that does exist) then FINE! The investment is worth saving up a little bit and improving the breed instead of making it worse for everyone else just because “you want babies” 🤦🏼‍♀️

Unfortunately there will be changes in our prices due to this because people CHOOSE not to keep their word… thankfully this hasn’t happened to me personally but I see it happening often and I can’t stand it.

Had our follow up appointment today at our primary vet 🤗
Bode is recovering very well and all he needs now is time 🤩

He is now walking (a little wobbly) between his naps lol and he is starting to get his personality back ❤️❤️

We are so proud of our boy and thank God for these results being the absolute best they could be!!

By just looking at these pics, u can’t even tell he was hit by a car 3 days ago 😱😱

God is so good!!!
Our sweet Bode is now home and resting.

Monday - bode was hit by a car and the scene was not pretty. I prayed all the way to metropolitan animal hospital in Louisville for him to just make it.
The staff at Metropolitan animal hospital is amazing!!! They were very comforting, supportive and optimistic with me the whole time and were HONEST about his situation.
Tuesday morning, we were given amazing news that he only had a small hip fracture and no surgery was needed.
However Bodes recovery will be slow and long, but that he should make a full recovery 🩷🩷

We brought Bode home last night and got him set up in the living room, but of course he was not happy without being in his spot on the couch with mom 🥹🥹. So of course that’s where we stayed most of the night.

Bode is still struggling to walk and still very weak, but he is on the right track to getting better 🩷🩷

We thank everyone at metro for taking care of our boy and we are so glad to have him home on “his couch”

If I would have heard this story on Monday, I would have had my doubts, but it just goes to show God is powerful and miracles happen every day 🩷🩷

Some may say “he’s just a dog” but if u knew our story and know how we love our animals, that statement couldn’t be further from the truth 🩷🩷

Welcome home our sweet boy

If everyone could please say a prayer for our sweet basset hound Bode.
He was hit by a car yesterday and had to be rushed to metro in Louisville. (Of course the driver didn’t stop either 😡)

Thankfully he has made amazing progress and we are thanking God for the miracle.

No broken bones just a lot of trauma on his belly and fluid in his lungs.
It was not looking good yesterday when I found him but with prayers and some great vets helping him, we are hopeful he will make a full recovery.
It will be a long road it seems like but he is definitely worth it ❤️❤️

Pedigreed holland lop DOE 🩷

Myrtle is a black holland lop
She is the best momma to all of her litters and has produced great type!

We are keeping a doe from her recent litter and are needing the space so she is 💵 accordingly

Myrtle is a working mom type and is great for posing for pictures.
She isn’t not the lovey dovey cuddle buddy type but she does her job and is an easy keeper.
She isn’t nasty by any means and allows you to check on her babies and does well with nail trims.

She carries dilute and has produced multiple chocolate babies as well (being bred to a chocolate buck)
