We’ve been spending a lot of time with family lately, and while we’ve been at my sister-in-law and brother-in-law’s place, we’ve also been putting a bunch of TikTok products to the test.

From grilling gloves and thermometers to kitchen gadgets and BBQ tools, we don’t just open the box—we actually use them in real cooking situations. If it can’t handle the smoker, grill, or backyard BBQ, it doesn’t make the cut.

This video is a collection of some of our favorite product reviews, cooks, and BBQ moments from the past few weeks.

But this backyard has been more than just a place to film videos.

It’s been a place to share meals, tell stories, spend time with family, and make memories that mean a lot to us.

🔥 Hidden gem Mexican spot with HUGE portions and sizzling fajitas! 🔥

We checked out El Michoacano Mexican Kitchen and wow… this place did not disappoint 👏

The fajitas came out HOT and loaded with steak, chicken, shrimp, peppers, onions, and tons of melted cheese 🤤 The rice and beans were classic comfort food goodness, and the fresh guacamole on the side was the perfect touch 🥑🌶️

We also loved the outdoor patio seating with the bright red umbrellas — such a cool little spot tucked away in Tres Pinos. ☀️🌮

If you’re cruising through San Benito County or heading out for a weekend drive, this is definitely one to add to your foodie list. The menu is HUGE with everything from burritos and tacos to seafood dishes, micheladas, and giant drinks 🍹🔥

Making hard-boiled eggs for the week just got a whole lot easier 🥚👏

We decided to try out this egg cooker for meal prep and honestly… it made the process super simple. Just add water, load the eggs, and let it do its thing. Perfect for quick breakfasts, salads, snacks, and adding extra protein during the week.

The eggs came out easy to peel and cooked perfectly for hard-boiled eggs. We’re always testing kitchen gadgets to see if they actually make life easier, and this one definitely surprised us.

🍖 We checked out Joshua’s Ribbs Bar-B-Que at the Great San Juan Bautista Rib Cook-Off 🔥

These ribs definitely leaned more on the saucy side 👀🔥 Sweet smoky flavor, tender bite, and plenty of BBQ goodness dripping everywhere 🤤

Love seeing all the different BBQ styles and flavors that teams bring to this event every year. The atmosphere, the smokers rolling, and the nonstop BBQ vibes always make this one of our favorite foodie traditions 🍖

🔥 Next stop at the Rib Cook-Off… Chicago BBQ! 🔥

These ribs had a nice light glaze that added flavor without overpowering the meat. Good bite, nice pull from the bone, tender, juicy, and you could still taste the smoke coming through 👏🍖

The bark and color on these looked amazing too. Definitely a solid stop at the cook-off!

🔥 Next stop at the Rib Cook-Off… Carson City BBQ ! 🔥

We tried their dry ribs and these had a really good bite to them 🍖
Nice pull, tender meat, solid seasoning, and not overloaded with sauce so you could actually taste the smoke and rub.

They offered both original and spicy BBQ sauces on the side, which was cool because you could customize the flavor instead of the ribs being drenched.

Definitely one of those ribs where the seasoning and smoke did the talking 👏

And don’t forget — the Rib Cook-Off is happening TODAY, Sunday, May 10, until 5 PM!

🔥Men Wielding Fire came all the way from Reno, Nevada and definitely brought the heat to the Rib Cook-Off!

We tried the 2 rib sampler — one sweet rib and one spicy rib — and both were packed with smoky flavor and fall-off-the-bone goodness 🤤🔥 The spicy had a nice kick without being overpowering, and the sweet sauce was sticky, smoky perfection.

If you missed it yesterday, San Juan Bautista Rib Cook-Off Rib is happening again TODAY, Sunday, May 10, until 5:00 PM! 🍖☀️ Definitely worth checking out if you love BBQ, smoky ribs, and festival vibes.
