Today, we officially said goodbye to our sweet little red food truck.

Honestly, I thought there would be tears. Instead, there was nothing but peace, excitement, and gratitude.

God’s hand was so evident in every detail of this journey. He brought the most wonderful couple to us from over 12 hours away. What started as strangers quickly felt like friends, and by the time they drove away, our hearts were full instead of broken.

His timing is always SO perfect.

We truly believe this truck has found exactly where it’s meant to be. They have such genuine hearts, big dreams, and the same passion that inspired me from the beginning. I have no doubt they’ll pour their hearts into it just as we did.

This truck was never just about desserts. It was about honoring my Momma’s legacy, serving our community, and trusting God through every season.

Today marks the close of one beautiful chapter, but it also marks the beginning of another, for both of our families. What a blessing it is to watch God write stories that are even better than we could have ever planned ourselves.

Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness! Thank You for going before us. And thank You for reminding us that when we place our plans in Your hands, Your blessings always reach farther than we could ever imagine.

Here’s to new adventures, new dreams, and trusting the Author of every chapter. ❤️

After a lot of prayer, tears, conversations with my Rheumatologist, and long talks with my husband, I have made the incredibly difficult decision to sell the food truck.

This has not been an easy decision in any way. As many of you know, I started Trin’s Cheesecakes N Treats and Momma’s Legacy with my whole heart. This dream gave me the opportunity to share love, joy, memories, and comfort through baking…something that means so much more to me than just desserts.

Recently, my health has continued to decline, and after meeting with my Rheumatologist, our best hope and goal right now is to focus on a new treatment plan that I started just over a week ago. At this point, the goal is simply to get me back to the level I was at when I was able to start and run the truck on my own. Of course we pray for more than that, but we also have to be realistic about where things are right now.

I won’t pretend this isn’t heartbreaking. It feels like a huge loss for me personally. I’ve wrestled with feeling like I let myself down, let others down, and somehow let down Momma’s Legacy. But I also know I have to remain thankful, thankful for every event, every customer, every smile, every conversation, every exhausted late night, and every single day I was physically able to do something I truly loved.

And while the truck may be going, I’m not done baking. You may still get lucky enough to find a slice of cheesecake at an event, family gathering, my husband bringing some to work 😂, or somewhere else along the way. Baking is part of who I am, and I don’t think that part of me will ever disappear.

I tried with everything I had to fulfill this dream. Unfortunately, my body just didn’t cooperate the way my heart wanted it to.

To my husband — thank you for carrying so much of this dream beside me, for supporting me when things were good, and especially when they weren’t. To my kids who never called me completely crazy haha, a special shoutout to Kristtoffer Schrater and Arlie Diederich for all your help and support, and everyone else who supported me, encouraged me, bought desserts, shared posts, stood in line at the truck, or simply believed in me — thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This journey was incredibly hard work, but I can honestly say I loved every single minute of it.

Over the past year, the Treat Truck for Trin’s Cheesecakes N Treats – Momma’s Legacy has grown in ways I could have only dreamed of. From community events to meeting so many wonderful people who have supported my cheesecakes and treats, this little dream has truly been a blessing.

As the business began expanding, I also began experiencing some concerning physical symptoms. After many doctor visits and testing, I learned in December that I have developed a second autoimmune disorder. Living with dysautonomia along with two autoimmune conditions has made it increasingly difficult to find a treatment plan that allows my body to keep up with the demands of running the Treat Truck full time.

After a lot of prayer, reflection, and long conversations with my husband, we made the difficult decision that it would be best for me to step into full-time work elsewhere so I can prioritize my health and stability moving forward.

This was not an easy decision. Baking has always been more than just a business for me — it’s where I feel closest to my momma and the legacy of love she passed down through food, family, and faith.

The good news is that Momma’s Legacy isn’t going anywhere.

The Treat Truck will still be around! Instead of running full time, the plan moving forward is to:
• Attend select larger community events during the food truck season
• Continue offering custom orders and special requests
• Keep sharing the cheesecakes and treats that started this whole journey

I truly believe sometimes we can’t see the whole path ahead of us, but we trust God enough to take the next step anyway. Faith isn’t always about understanding the road — sometimes it’s simply about walking forward.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this dream, encouraged me through my health journey, and shared in the sweetness of Momma’s Legacy. Your kindness means more than you know.

This is not the end — just a new chapter. 💛
