Selling freezer camp ready roosters for just $5 each. I usually process my birds myself and keep them, but my freezer is full and I don't have the time right now. These roosters where born in March and are heritage breeds approx. 5 lbs each (I am guessing by size). These are Marans and Marans mixes that I hatched and raised myself. The only reason I am selling them for anything, is the time and food they have consumed (I'm sure it is more than $5 each). I will sell in multiples, just let me know how many you want and I will randomly catch them.

You are welcome to keep them as pets (but you can't choose which ones, this is random for $5) I have: Cuckoo, Splash, Blue Copper, Black Copper & some Maran/Americauna Crosses.

Bring your own crates/cages to transport. Picture is of my birds-but not specifically the ones I am selling, as I don't have time to take pictures of each one. Text me 20eight-8Nine9-One053. Hoping to find them new homes by this weekend.

I hatched about 40 Marans. They will be ready for homes this Sunday. I am going to meet up with everyone who is interested in Splash, Black, Blue, Cuckoo and Mixed Marans (I have a few Olives back crossed with Marans, I might bring too). If you are interested just message me, and I will send you a time and place as soon as I know where we are meeting. Chicks are $8 for all Splash are $15.

These should be ready for new homes in about 3 weeks.

It is time to let go of the chickens we won't need for next year! We have some mixed Marans available. Just $30 each for hens and $15 for roos. I have hatched mostly dark brown eggs this year but there will be some that are mixed with my Olive Americauna so their eggs might be lots of fun.

I feel the need to rant a little. Someone told me yesterday that my prices for chicks was "insane". That they could get chicks somewhere else for cheaper. They are right....but they are not the same-and if you want to buy cheaper chicks....you have free will to do so. I wish it didn't hurt but people's opinions of me and my farm matter. I never force anyone to buy my chicks, and I don't sell roosters (They are my food and my breeding stock). I made someone mad because I wouldn't sell them a rooster and a hen so they could start their own flock. It was a business decision I made a long time ago. I don't sell hatching eggs at cheap prices because I make more money selling chicks. If I accidently sell you a rooster and you want to keep it, that is your perogative to do so, but I don't sell them intentionally, and I will always trade you a hen for a roo. I guess what I'm saying is I spent a lot of money buying chicks from quality breeders. If you want cheaper chicks order them from those cheap places. But if you want beautiful birds from amazing breeders then buy from quality breeders who select the best birds and don't just do random. Please lets stop calling these breeders "insane" just because you don't understand why one bird cost more than others.

Have a few mixed hens left from last hatch for sale $10 each. How do I know which ones are hens? Check out the wing feathers here with these two Splash Marans. Hen has longer wings and a little tail, while the Roo has shorter wings and basically no tail.
