Fun fact about me (Christina):
I changed my major in college because I hated Botany (the study of plants) and even told my parents "I'm never going to need to know that much about plants anyway!"

That was LONG before I met my husband, before we got cattle, before I was making decisions in business based on growing more grass! 🤣

I tell my students that story all the time if they ever ask me "when am I ever going to need to know this stuff in real life?" 🤷🏻‍♀️

NEVER say NEVER, you truly don't know where your future path may take you!

This picture is of me at one of the amazing classes we've attended with Noble Research Institute at Heifer USA ranch to learn all we can about how to improve our soil health.

President ‌Trump said he was preparing a legal order to allow farmers and ranchers to be given the right to process their own food, aimed at ‌breaking what he called "a nasty monopoly" ​among the nation's top processors.

Well, our oldest daughter's first Little Britches Rodeo didn’t exactly go according to plan. ❤️

She competed in pole bending in Ruston and came home with a **no time**.

Not the result she wanted—but maybe that’s part of why we let our kids do hard things.

You don’t always win. Sometimes you get challenged. Sometimes things don’t go your way.

**But you get back on the horse and keep working toward what you want.**

Proud of this girl for putting herself out there and doing something hard.

On to the next one. ❤️🐴

Meet our newest horse on the farm: Jubal
His actual name is Smokin Hot Jubilee 😂
David thinks this is going to be his new cow horse and no one is going to be using him for anything else....but I don't know....what do you think?

Well... we've been a little quiet around here. 😅

Somewhere between working full time, raising kids, school, ranch chores, filling orders, and regular life... Facebook kept getting pushed down the list.

But school is back, schedules are full again, and it's time I start showing up here again too.

I want to share more of the REAL LaMay Family Farms—the good, the hectic, and everything in between.
