Today's buzzzz...well it was definitely a first for me. This is one of the most challenging hive rescues I have done. These ladies found themselves in an old hot water heater in the woods, we carried them back home and had to cut into the tank to begin moving all their comb. This was by far the calmest bees I have worked with. Given all they went through, ( rough drive down a gravel road, grinder to cut the tank open, this was of course very loud and lots of vibration...everything you dont want to do to a hive of bees), not once did I ever feel like they were getting mad. In fact we put them in the box not once, but twice. We never could locate the queen...there were so many bees. The second move back into the boxes they started signaling that she was in the box and all the bees made their own way in!! Two brood boxes later, we have ourselves a very nice hive!! Happy to give them a much nicer home!! 🐝🐝🍯

Love getting updates from customers on how their hatches are going!!! She said out of the 18, 17 are coming along nicely.. fingers crossed that 1 gets it together and joins the party!!!

Our Silver Leghorn rooster has so much personality...I love to watch him when he's in the sun light.. those colors are just beautiful!!

Someone was clearly jealous and feeling like she wasn't getting all the attention. No the jealous bird does not get the worm. 🤣🤣🤣 Anyone else's chickens think they need to be all up in your business!

I guess the ladies were having a competition to see who could lay more eggs... this was just from the first pen....EVERYONE ( minus our roos obviously) laid an egg!!🥚🥚 Girls are putting in extra work today!! Anyone need some Silver leghorn hatching eggs?!?!?

Best part of raising leghorns, I never have to worry about having eggs in my house, they are a production breed for a reason!
