We don’t pick up meat from a processor to resell, we send our own animals to the processor.

The only way to truly know where your meat comes from is to know the whole process, from beginning to end.

It’s never easy to see an animal you’ve cared for for nearly two years reach the end of its life. But knowing there was zero stress in the process puts your mind at ease. For our steers, it’s just another morning out eating grass… until it isn’t. They never know what’s coming.

The meat we sell comes from animals we’ve known and cared for their entire lives. We see them on their first day of life, their last day, and every day in between.

That’s what knowing where your food comes from really means to us.

We have the opportunity to rent 4 acres right next to us and we are so excited. Thanks to Andrew Veenstra it’s all ready for seed. This will double the size of our pasture at home.

Lois, the last heifer (first-time mom) we had due this year, had her calf out in the pasture. The kids always get excited when another Jersey heifer calf is born!
