It hard to believe. We just experienced an alpaca loss, now our LGD, Brass, is not well. We are giving antibiotics, fluids and trying to force feed liquified food. He's not progressing as expected. Please put him in your prayers that we can pull him through so he will be his happy self again.

It breaks my heart to inform my facebook friends and followers that our first born, Haleigh's Comet, of 4 years ago past away last Monday. He was donated to Cornell in hopes of learning what had happened. Their findings were in inconclusive. Comet, was our nutered male who kept our weanling boys company. And It is my thought, even though he was not alone in the dry lot, that he was missing his companion of 2yrs, Amaretto Cream, who went to a new home on Jan 15th. I am crush and sadened to think that this separation was the cause of his death. He got his name because of the white blaze on his face and his mother name was Haleigh. RIP Haleigh's Comet, we miss you so much. I worry now about Campaign Surprise, our light fawn 10mo old weanling, as he is all alone that same dry lot. His pasture joins both the males and females dry lots but his dam will be leaving the farm the end of March early April. You can see him laying next to the female pasture when she is near. Asking for prayers of strenght that he will be able to deal with this separation after his dam leaves the farm.

Chardonnay update:
Steroid shots helped but when they wore off she was back to not walking so, last ditch effort to help Chardonnay, we are at Cornell for a few test. Asking for your continual prayers.

08/03/2017
Back from the vet. Had a steroid shot, 2pm feeding of 6oz after some eating hay. Now it's 3 more days of steroids, walking therapy and a waiting game. Will let you know as things progress. Thanks for your love, prayers and support.

08/03/2017
Prayers for Chardonnay, we are at the vets to see why she doesn't have front leg mobility.

Went to an all day cria birthing seminar on Sat and at 10:00pm we had a new little female. Welcome to the world Shasta Dazy.

We have finally decided on a name for our 2 week old orphaned female cria, "Rose Chardonnay" She is 16# now and taking in from 5-9 oz of whole milk every 3 hours. She has doing well mixing with the rest of the females and is getting along with our assertive 2 mo old male, Champagne Surprise.

06/29/2017
Yea, Rosetta made, one week old Wed. She is drinking 4-6 oz per feeding, weighing in at 14.4 and running around like she owns the place. Moved her in with the girls and doing great. She has also progress making friends with our 2 mo old male crib, Champagne Surprise. I think they will be good pasture mates.

06/25/2017
It was a grand day on the farm last Wed when White Zinfandel gave birth to a female cria, Rosetta; only to sadden on Thurs by her passing. White Zin will be missed terribly.

06/03/2017
