Our Spiced Elderberry Syrup is a tasty, shelf-stable syrup made with homegrown elderberries and roselle blooms (a hibiscus-type flower that is both delicious and known for being high in vitamin C!). Boosting the immune system should taste good, too!

Last, but certainly not least, Homesteader’s Herbal Salve! Many of you will remember the “Homesteader Salve” that we sold for many years - this salve is comparable, but we’ve taken it up a notch with the addition of yarrow and lavender, and 100% locally-sourced ingredients! (All herbs and beeswax were harvested on the farm, and the sunflower oil came from Golden Harvest Oil in Powhatan!)

Look for these at the farm stand today, along with some plants from Dan and Callie Walker, at 9200 S Amelia Avenue, Amelia Court House, VA 23002!

Blackberry season is still going strong! The farm stand is being restocked every day with more berries and garlic, and we are happy be offering bulk quantities at discount prices, too!

Prices are listed below. Just give us a call or send us a message for interest in bulk orders!

Blackberries can be easily frozen on trays, then stored in containers in the freezer for smoothies and baked goods later in the year. Garlic, when stored properly (much like onions), can last 6 months or more, so buying in bulk is great even if you go through it slowly!

Bulk prices:
- Blackberries, $40/10 pints

- Kitchen-grade garlic, $9/lb (two lb minimum)

- Seed-grade garlic, $8/lb (1 lb minimum, both hard neck and soft neck varieties available)

Please note that, if you plan to pick up fresh chicken today, we recommend waiting 24 hours before cooking.

Available this weekend: Fresh, whole chicken meat - perfect for roasting, parting out for frying, bone broths, etc. 🍗

We haven’t raised meat chickens in a while but due to concerns about the meat supply chain that have been seen this year, we decided to raise a batch for you all. These cornish-cross chickens have been kept on pasture their entire lives and their grain has always been soy-free and GMO-free.

They are $4/lb if you buy and pick up fresh from the farm this weekend, or $4.50/lb to buy them frozen at a later date. Please private message in order to reserve one or more. There are 20 available!
