Who’s got the best crawfish!?
Alright review time for Crawfish & Noodles! so after eating some stir fry Dungeness crab which I have to say is on point and the fried rice is amazing I’ll go ahead and write that part of the meal off as a 10 out of 10. But for the crawfish part... the size was pretty good but to me I feel like there was no real flavor than what was dusted on the bugs after cooking. There were no juicy heads and seemed a bit dry. So on a scale of 1-10 on crawfish I’m gonna rate this place a 7 on the mud bug scale. I did like the seasoning on the outside but we all know how we feel about them dusted crawfish! Corn had absolutely no flavor. Of course normal fees of butter corn and potatoes.

Alright ladies and gents! After all the recommendations we decided to give it a good ol try! Now we all know how I feel about dusted crawfish.(seasoning dumped on outside for lack of flavor inside) First thing I noticed when our tray got to us was all the seasoning dumped on the outside of our bugs. With only one style of crawfish to choose from but comes with potatoes and corn I’ll have to rate the bugs here a solid 7.5 on the 1-10 scale. They weren’t bad at all and we were super happy with the size of them as well! Large claws and body’s! Zack was our server and we honestly have no complaints as far as service goes here! Infact we have no complaints at all after our fried boudin balls our crawfish came out then we got the fruit of the sea platter for two which was lobster with a pasta with red snapper and shrimp! If your looking for decent bugs and great food with great service Swamp shack won’t let you down. Bugs didn’t have many options and the dusting killed it for me. But for those who like their bugs like that these were on point!

Alrighty! So after our last stop we had to make it right and try somewhere else with some mud bugs we ended up a mile and a half down the road at the crawfish house. We had seen a post new management and advertising $4.99 a lb. For the price I’m gonna give them a 8 out of 10 and by far the best bang for your buck at the moment! Doesn’t come with any fixing but they have a bar you can spice up or butter up your bugs before you eat them! Pretty cool spot won’t expect it to be long before there’s a long wait here! We will be coming back for another review before too long!
We came to try out these mushy Mudbugz that cost $6.99lb with no extra trimmings. We ordered 2lbs of mild garlic butter which was served steamy and hot to the table. The crawfish was hot that we had to wait a bit before we could start eating. Not that it’s a bad thing just advising don’t touch fresh out the bag! They didn’t have much flavor to them so we had to dip them in the pan to get some flavor. Unfortunately, these bugs were mushy and some of the tails didn’t have any meat inside, which lead us to believe they were either dead or frozen or both. I don’t think they were fresh. I had to rate this place a 4 out of 10 since it does not seem fresh at all! 😐 Posted picture in comments below
