We are just 3 days away from National Coconut Day and wanted to share some fun facts about coconut.

Did you know?
* The scientific name of coconut is Cocos nucifera.
* Coconuts are not nuts--they are drupes!
* Every single part of a coconut tree can be used
* Coconuts oil contains MCTs (65%) and lauric acid which are saturated fats, but beneficial to the body
* Celebs including Mandy Moore, Emma Watson, Tom Brady, Gwyneth Paltrow and Mindy Kaling among others have been documented as coconut fans.

We are just 4 days away from National Coconut Day! This year, National Coconut Day takes place on Sunday, June 26 and to celebrate, CCA is raising funds for coconut farmers and their families under its Lighting Up Lives initiative. They need essential school supplies and nutritional support and it just takes $95 USD to provide supplies for a full year for a child.

National Coconut Day (June 26th) is just 10 days away and CCA is celebrating again this year by raising funds to help coconut farmers under our Lighting Up Lives initiative. Funds from this program directly provide assistance to the children of coconut farmers. In person school is about to start for these children for the first time since the pandemic shut things down. These children are in dire need of school supplies, protection from the elements and even essential nutritional support. Through the Lighting Up Lives program, CCA will support these children to help them achieve success in school by reducing and eliminating these obstacles.

Our objective is to raise at least $12,000 which will allow us to help 125 children in 2022.
$25 – covers 1 child for 3 months
$50 – covers 1 child for 6 months
$95 – covers 1 child for a year
$190 – covers 2 children for a year
$285 – covers 3 children for a year
$380 – covers 4 children for a year
$475 – covers 5 children for a year
$950 – covers 10 children for a year

It is the final day to give to the CCA Lighting Up Lives campaign to help coconut farmers. These farmers are at the heart of our supply chain, but many live in remote locations, where power sources are limited. Through Lighting Up Lives, we are working with Primex Isle de Coco Foundation to install solar panel lighting into coconut farmers' homes, which will provide them with light at night.

We have already raised enough to help over 300 🥥 farmers, but there's more who need our support.

It's and we're lighting up lives for coconut farmers. Many coconut farmers live in remote locations and do not have access to electricity.
