Did you know that you can plant rye grass during the winter so that your chickens still have green grass to eat? Our chickens love it and it grows in the colder weather. Even the freeze didn't kill our rye grass.

You can't tell from the picture but we have a problem with this dog killing our chickens if we're not around. He's great...

You can't tell from the picture but we have a problem with this dog killing our chickens if we're not around. He's great at keeping the possums, raccoons and coyotes out but he's also a hazard to the chickens!

Unfortunately for my roosters, they're not allowed near the hens. Although she (the white chicken) seems quite irritated with the roosters.
