This sophisticated evolution of the classic mint julep substitutes the traditional herb with the earthy, woodsy soul of fresh rosemary, using our Tuscan Blue Rosemary & Pepper Honey as a simple syrup.
Picture rich, oak-aged bourbon swirling into a handcrafted rosemary honey syrup, poured over a shimmering mountain of crushed ice that frosts the glass on contact. As you take your first sip, a splash of crisp seltzer awakens the palate, while the fragrant oils of a rosemary garnish dance on the nose. It is bold, herbaceous, and spine-tinglingly cold...the ultimate cocktail for Derby Day.
To craft this masterpiece, you’ll need:
2 oz Premium Bourbon
1 oz Tuscan Blue Rosemary & Pepper Honey
1/2 oz warm water
Crushed ice
Seltzer (a playful splash)
Fresh rosemary (one aromatic sprig)
Instructions:
1. In a shaker, mix the Tuscan Blue Rosemary & Pepper Honey with warm water until the honey is fully dissolved.
2. Add the bourbon to the shaker.
3. Add ice to the shaker and shake well until chilled, about 20 seconds.
4. Strain into a rocks glass or julep cup filled to the brim with crushed ice.
5. Top with a splash of seltzer and garnish with the a rosemary sprig (smack it between your hands first to release the aroma).

Dissolve first: Ensure the honey is fully dissolved into the warm water before adding ice to avoid it sticking to the shaker.
