Our H-E-B Family is heartbroken by the enormous devastation and loss caused by the flooding in and around the Kerrville area. We are grateful to local authorities, first responders, and volunteers for their tireless efforts.

Kerrville, where our company was started, and the Hill Country have a special place in the heart of our H-E-B family. As part of our initial outreach there, we are working closely with the Red Cross, local officials, and first responders to support their needs. Additionally, we have sent aid to support efforts in San Angelo.

Our teams are staying close to the hardest-hit areas, and we will continue to provide needed support as these tragic situations evolve.

We hold compassion and strength for everyone who has been impacted, and we remain committed to offer unwavering support to our communities.

As part of H-E-B’s Operation Appreciation program, each package will be filled with H-E-B favorites and include a handwritten note from our Partners. Each year, H-E-B asks customers, Partners, and community members to nominate outstanding public-school educators in Texas. Since 2002, the program has awarded more than $14 million in cash and grants to Texas teachers and schools and is the largest of its kind in the nation. This year, we were pleased to award six teachers, two counselors, two principals, one early childhood facility, a public-school board, and two school districts with $480,000 in cash awards and grants. Lovingly named after Christian’s mother, Vicky, this pancake and waffle mix recipe was a staple on the breakfast table. Vicky, a single mom of four, would whip up her children’s favorite light and fluffy pancakes every weekend.
