Our Story
The Heights Interfaith Ministries Food Pantry opened its doors June 25, 2009 and we now serve families in all Houston area zip codes. We are open Thursday evenings 4 PM to 5:30 PM and Saturday mornings 10 AM until noon. We are sponsored by community organizations and local churches and are a member of the Houston Food Bank.
Our funding is through donations from our sponsor community organizations, churches, individuals, and annual fundraising events. About 75% of our food is purchased from the Houston Food Bank, the balance is from donations with a small portion purchased from funds of the Heights Interfaith Ministries.

During an evening spent at Hungry Like the Wolf, Evening Group members and guests renewed friendships, relived the '80s and participated generously in our donation drive supporting Heights Interfaith Ministries Food Pantry. Thank-you to Andrea Richards for organizing this lively event and to the many behind the scenes coordinators who made this possible. Best retro costume recognition is due to Margaret Ferenz and Amber Rabo! Best supporting prop goes to Edda Tinis! More pics are viewable on our FB album.
Ruben Dominguez FOX 26 joined us this morning for a food rescue at Heights Interfaith Ministries Food Pantry, in honor of Earth Day!🌎 Tune in FOX 26 Houston at 5 p.m. for a taped segment showcasing what goes on inside of the pantry after we deliver our rescued food.

As a member church of the Heights Interfaith Ministries Food Pantry, we invite you to explore opportunities to volunteer and support their mission to serve our neighbors in need. There are lots of ways to lend a hand!
Grateful to our 100 charity partners that work hard every day to feed our struggling community. Pictured is the beautiful mural at Heights Interfaith Ministries Food Pantry. Each week, we deliver fresh produce and milk for their twice-weekly food distributions. Since opening their doors in 2009, they have served more than 46,000 families. Together, we’re able to reach and feed more Houstonians in need. #houstonstrong #foodrescue
Help Heights Interfaith Ministries Food Pantry fill the grocery carts by hosting a food drive or donating much needed items: spaghetti/pasta, macaroni & cheese/boxed meals, meals in a can (chili, hearty soup, stew, tuna), canned vegetables, spaghetti or tomato sauce, and peanut butter. You can drop items in our Feed Frank donation box at any time or schedule a time to deliver your donations to us at 3523 Beauchamp. Every item will help feed our neighbors in need! And volunteers are needed every week - lots of jobs and time slots available -
