I stopped loving and caring for my body. Overindulged in food amd drink to soothe my pain. I lost confidence in myself and to pursue my passions- baking and writing. Because I allowed other peoples opinions and words to dictate my worth. Please don't ever allow the words of others to shape your world. Even if it means distancing yourself from those closest to you. You don't have to accept anything that is damaging to your well-being even it's from family. You my love are a good thing amd you deserve to be surrounded by good things! Believe it and Receive it!

Bandages For The Heart is a book that I wrote over a decade ago. I had been struggling for years to come up with an ending. I got frustrated and quit writing. Finally I've been able to come up with an ending. And now I know why- I had to wait on GOD to give me the ending. I wrote my first story when I was just 5 years old; it was entitied "The Girl Who Ran Away." My life basically reads like a tragedy but this book is a story of healing and restoration loosely based on parts of my life and some parts are inspired by the environment around me. Its much deeper than a "woe is me, pity me, somebody save me" book. Because with every thing that I went thru- I never felt sorry for me. Its a book for women who were never lost but never wanted to find themselves because being unseen felt like protection. The woman who waisted so much potential because she was scared to utilize it. Who felt inferior because those were the cards she was handed and she accepted them. This is for the women who have spent countless years trapped in a cycle of depression, oppression, mental, physical, and sexual abuse and who are finally at mid life able to free themselves and discover an entirely life for themselves. Its about more than healing, its also celebrating the woman who restored thru the pain and purpose.
