I keep thinking of Antoine de St. Exupery’s ‘Le Petit Prince’ and remembering the fox’s lessons- of all the dogs in the world, Leaf is special because of the time we’ve spent with him. I can claim credit for saying ‘that’s our dog!’ when a very scared, 💩 covered dog with serious challenges hid under a maple leaf 🍁 and stared at us with his little overbite.
But it is Lauren Anne who has invested SO MUCH in this little floofy monster. Training, exercise, LOVE, nurturing, more training, and helping this pup grow into a strong, affectionate, fiercely loyal young dog. He is Lauren’s shadow and daily work companion.
We are just so indebted to massvethospital and their amazing team for putting him back together, and to our amazing families and friends for contributing emotionally and financially to his success. Still a ways to go, but every little bit has been weight lifted. Also a huge shout out to Annie Bailey Best Life K9 Training (who worked with Leaf for a month as a wedding gift 💪🏼🙏🏼❤️), for housing us near the clinic this week, and for starting the GoFundMe.
