One thing I wish more people knew about ordering a custom cake… 👀🎂

You’re not just paying for flour, eggs, butter and frosting.

You’re paying for the idea before the cake even exists.

The conversations.
The design.
The planning.
The ingredients and supplies.
The baking.
The decorating.
The little details.
The troubleshooting when something doesn’t go according to plan. 😂
The packaging.
The experience.

And sometimes… you’re paying for me to learn how to make something I’ve never made before because your vision requires it. 😂

That’s the difference between ordering a cake and commissioning a custom creation.

And I think it’s important for us as small business owners to educate our customers about what actually goes into the work we do.

Not because customers need to know every little thing happening behind the scenes…

but because understanding the process creates appreciation for the finished product. 🤎

Yesterday was such a beautiful day at the farmers market.

I came to serve desserts, but I left with so much more … good conversations, new connections, lots of laughs, and an even deeper appreciation for the community I get to be a part of.

My family popped in to support me, a friend showed up with food 😂, I caught up with vendor friends, made new ones, and got to serve so many amazing people through something I genuinely love.

And I have to give a BIG shoutout to the incredible vendors who made the day even sweeter! 🫶🏾

Let God Redirect You. 🤍

Sometimes a closed door isn’t a punishment … it’s protection.
Sometimes it’s not a “no” … it’s God pointing you toward something better.

We can become so focused on the plans we made that we forget God can see what we cannot.

When something doesn’t work out, a relationship changes, or an opportunity disappears, it’s easy to ask, “Why did God let this happen?”

But what if we started asking, “Where are You leading me next?”

Trusting God doesn’t mean you’ll understand every turn. It means believing that His direction is good 👍🏽 even when it looks nothing like the plan you had.

So if God is redirecting you right now, don’t fight the turn.
Release the plan.
Stay open.
Keep following Him. 🙏🏾

Maybe the closed door you’re grieving is actually the redirection you prayed for. 🤍 😌
